- My stay was short, and I was only able to enjoy the room facilities. My room was spacious, it had a shower room and a toilet room apart, a sitting area, a kettle, tea and coffee options, TV, a small refrigerator, a king size bed with lamsp on the sides. The main reason for my visit was the convenient location, just a few meters away from the train station.
- Great location, beautiful room. Friendly staff.
- Pool and spa great
Cons -
- Not many staff around had problems with tv but could not get fixed
- So first, I booked this hotel in a hurry and didn't read everything or the other reviews. That's my mistake. Nevertheless it is a mystery to me why there are 4 stars. The rooms are incredibly basic, this is maybe sold as part of the concept but it came across to me as cold and uncomfortable (with the exception of the bed). The WC had a permanent bad smell. The bathroom was only sort-of clean. There is no air conditioning and the windows don't open very far because they're blocked by a lowered ceiling. It wasn't very warm when we were there but still the room got really stuffy. Only one of the windows has insect protection so your ventilation options are limited at night. The pool is present in the advertising but it costs extra to use and is more or less part of the spa which you should stay away from if you are a hotel guest (we learned the hard way). Being thrown out was of course very embarrassing, it was a genuine mistake, my kids were very excited about the pool. It would have been better for everyone if we had just been told this politely at the beginning (and I might have even paid to use the spa facilities if I'd been offered the chance). However, I had the impression kids would not be welcome there anyway (spa - children having fun and couples/ladies trying to have a relaxing weekend are probably not a good mix). The room has a big noticeboard with information A4 sheets about various things but nothing explained the pool options clearly. The hotel is small (not a bad thing) but this seems to lead to a very low staff presence.I'm all for discouraging car use, but for a hotel that is a bit of a walk from the station and accessible via a gravel path at the end of a lengthy street, charging 10€ a night for parking seems a bit strange. Seem to just be another way to make money. Fortunately we only had a rental car for one night which halved the price. So all in all, I felt very misled by the advertising, star rating and price.

Good things about this hotel: the breakfast (if you like the concept of a pre-configured breakfast) is good, lovingly prepared and served to you personally. They played nice music from a record player whilst you eat. The hotel room is large with plenty of space and the bed is very comfortable. The location is fairly close to the station (although not great if you're pulling suitcases).

I only stayed for 1 night without breakfast. Did not use and see more than Parking space and hotel room. Arrived in the evening and left very early. Water Boiler with tea and coffee and a table with chairs was perfect for me, as I had brought my own food. Only the hotel was a bit difficult to find (at least in the dark), as the hotel could not be seen, only a small road with a sign leading to the Parking space.
Avoid this hotel
This hotel looks much better online than it is in reality. The rooms are very run-down: see image from the sink in my room. Definitely not 4 stars standard! The rooms are cold too and you cannot regulate the heating as it is central on the walls. The receptionist may reluctantly give you extra blanket. If you want to work, there is no comfortable seating unless you want to sit in the restaurant area.Breakfast: You wait ten minutes and then get a tray with bread, ham and cheese. You can select one of three beverages to accompany it. They do not accommodate dietary needs unless you tell them. As a vegan, you get an apple and a small yoghurt.Spa: Wear shoes as the floors are very much like outdoor floors. This may have looked fine when it was built but in 2025, the place is dirty at the level of the photos from the bathroom.
Not much.
Road works, I was not informed (did turn around for 35 minutes). No staf available in hotel, dirty entree, very dirty rooms, let’s not talk about the bathroom.Breakfast was not noted well, so they prepared something on the spot. Also paying for parking a car? Crazy place. No go.
The spa was excellent outdoor pool just right and saunas available. Also no tv in rooms which made it more relaxing will use again!

Decent sized rooms, nice architectural design, reception staff very pleasant
Only saw staff on check in, rest of time reception empty and wide open. Bar and restaurant closed, 10 Euros to park the car (once you found the place - bad signage), breakfast extortionate and you had to select your options the night before ( I declined), rooms really warm with no air con, next to railway line but on the wrong side of the tracks!
Everything was good. The room was nice, the location was nice and the pool and facilities were amazing.

I love the spacious room and the minimalist approach
The concept of wu wei apparently refers to the service and maintenance of the property. Pool use costs 20€ extra per hour, which I never experienced in a 4-star-hotel. Amenities like Conditioner and Lotion cost extra, the safe was out of service and unfortunately there was no AC. The room was boiling hot in summer, the windows could only be opened after climbing on a chair and there were no mosquito nets aka unwanted visitors at night. Sleeping with closed windows was not an option because of the missing ventilation system or AC. The train rails are very close with loud traffic until 1am.
