- Location: Good and central, with easy access to the highwayParking: Free but can be busyReception: Super friendly and makes all the differenceCleaning: Super friendly staff, and cleaning varies (with/without a trash bag in the bin; clean towels with stains that haven't been washed out (not dirty, but visible))Sleeping comfort: Two single beds. Meh. Good beds to sleep on, though.Room comfort: Reasonably standard room with a coffee maker and kettle available upon request. The room was extremely dark, and even with the lights on, it felt like a dark den. It made working difficult. There is a desk with a good office chair.Hotel comfort: Didn't use the gym or restaurant. As far as I know, there's no elevator (I always take the stairs).
- The room was very good for the price, with a large screen TV, comfortable bed and, in general, more personaled than the big-box hotels (the bathroom actually had a tiled floor!). The dinner menu was quite limited but the food was great.
- The room had a good atmosphere. The bed was good.
Cons -
- 1. the wifi is un-flipping-believably sloooowwww.... we are in 2025 !!! 1-2 Mbps but seriously ???2. the room was as dark as a well-hidden wine cellar. Even turning on the lights did not help
- The breakfast was somewhat on the light side. I would have liked to see bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs, for example. But they did offer to make an omelet.
- The blanket was a bit hot.

Clean, comfortable
Room facilities were a little dated.
The breakfast was super good with very high quality food!
My parcel was not delivered at all, even I gave the whole information in October last year - I was on the line with the manager 16 full minutes....
Checkin and out and breakfast was OK
Parking was full, Bathroom very small.
As a solo traveller I felt safe, restaurant and breakfast available so I didn't have to go out. Great television.
The best thing that I found in Hotel Bastion is its own Staff The receptionist very helpfull and professional The waitress in the restaurant full of joy and optimism The night guy very polite
Breakfast could be better
The staff were friendly and helpful. Sleeping cot for the babyExtra card. Own parking (though limited space at night) Big tv
I received payment confirmation. Bastion also received confirmation but the day after check in. Because of this i had to pay on the spot. And Bastion also received money from credit card. Which after talking with manager they confirmed they are returning...but i haven't received it yet. It's a mistake of booking.com and Bastion. On arrival i also found out that i paid more than the price through booking.com. The staff noticed this and because i paid on site this was corrected on the spot. The room was nothing like in the picture. It looked more like a youth hostel where people pay 10 euro a night in Londen where 15 people share a room with cheap beds. And very dusty and old. I asked for a kettle to heat water for the baby. Which the friendly staff gave. Unfortunately, the kettle was dirty and calcified badly. So i went out and bought a new one from store for the night. You dont get any water bottle in hotel room. Even in a 3rd world country like Sri Lanka, India, we got new water bottle every day, table full of coffee and tea. It's basic. For around 90 euro a night atleast a water bottle in room would have been nice. Especially with a baby. Instead you have to pay a lot of money for a tiny water bottle from vending machine.Heater didn't work properly. Overall price to quality was very very poor and dissapointing.
We are very disappointed
From one of the employees, her name (Erica) after making another appointment for another 2 nights, asking for another €40, having told me in a very arrogant way that it was a mistake on the part of her colleague, after I had already paid everything online, I had to ask more than once a day for 1 washed towel and repeatedly tried to make me withdraw the money very rude, and blocked my card after I had made an appointment twice and paid, not being the fault of his colleague's mistake, I paid in cash the £40 to your colleague who admitted his mistake, clearly the problem was not the £40 but the arrogant attitude of your employee….
Good location of the hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
good place, staff, pool
no gym, poor breakfast,
Plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful, and it is nice to have someone there to assist with checking in. A lift to the upper floors and a gym available to all guests. Also a restaurant at the hotel. We didn't eat at the restaurant so we can't rate it, but it's good to know there is one there if needed.
The bathroom was a bit small.
Room clean .bed ok .new TV with uk channels. Wi good
Security lapse fire door open next to room giving access to strangers from fire escape. Scary. Informed manager who said there's nothing I can do. Smoke smell in room. Breakfast on the Wednesday was dreadful staff not interested no tables laid out awful. Thursday better with different staff. The whole place was scary never again ..beware ....not sure who they have to rent rooms to .
Great bathroom-large walk-in shower. Toiletries adequate( 2 little soaps and 2 little shower gels.)
Personel was friendly, but guest around the hotel and the neighbourhood was not.
I didn't like drunked guest, lack of security and general poor bar equipment.
Staff were friendly and well presented. The room was a great size and fairly clean but overall was a great stay. The evening meal was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough to help
The toilet seat was very loose and we did report it but it wasn't sorted during our stay. The bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner, it wasn't cleaned round the corners and the shower floor and door stripes could have been cleaner.
Clean comfortable room.
Too hot, but they nearly always are.
This is my second stay at this location and I have to say that was pleased like always with the hotel. Most likely I will stay here when I get back in town.I had to extend my stay for another day, and the front desk manager was a down-to-earth person and very professional, with a positive attitude toward clients. and helped me right away. I would say the same for every person that works there too. Bravo!
Spacious good car park and location
my room safe was broken reported it first day still not working when i checked out four days later Also duvet, I found rather small and short
