Clean, Beautiful location, friendly guests

Uncomfortable beds

Staff were excellent. So kind and friendly. We were late for breakfast, and there was still no problem getting us breakfast. The rooms were spotless. It was very quiet at night with little to no noise. We really enjoyed our stay.

Staff were lovely and so was the food in the bar. Rooms are dated but are big and comfortable. Grounds are lovely.

The dated room especially the bathroom. It is expensive compared with other options in the area

Overall location is good for clonmel and parking. Grounds are nice , king room was spacious. The hotel bar and overall room is dated. Breakfast did not come with the room rate and needed to be added for 15 euro a head, which made this hotel slightly expensive for what it is.

Bar food was excellent and the bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. Also, very impressed with a late checkout of 12 o clock. I'll be back.

The breakfast was excellent but glad we went early as it became very busy

The location was perfect, peaceful and restful. Staff lovely, not intrusive but very helpful when needed.

Slightly dated decor / could do with modernising

The location on the river and the elegant bar/ restaurant/ reception areas are a real plus. The decoration and racing related memorabilia in the hotel and grounds make for a unique experience. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and offered tea and cake. A member of staff politely guided us to our room and helped us to settle in. Excellent breakfast service. Large rooms with river views. Proximity to areas of scenic beauty. We availed of the offer of free tickets to the Clonmel Racecourse and spent a pleasant at this very scenic racetrack.

I rang on Friday to ask for room with hot tub on balcony and they advised that was confirmed- this was not the case for them on arrival and was very annoyed after I calling especially.

Views were fabulous.. staff were lovely .. bed very comfortable

Great scenery around the hotel.

Our hotel stay was not great.1) With infants in the bar at 10:30 at night.2) No heating on in our room at 11pm even though the radiator was turned on since 12 noon that day. NOTE:- was told at Reception there was a switch at the Reception desk that wasn't turned on.3) Also maintenance man just walked into our room to check the heating. DIDN'T KNOCK!The whole hotel could do with refreshing decoration.

We liked everything - a lovely Irish country house hotel set in beautiful gardens by the river. We felt very lucky to have discovered this hotel and would have liked to stay longer than the 8 days we had.
