Perfect location on the beach with very friendly staff. All the mes were very tasty and nicely presented. Nice and spacious room.

The hotel is next to a school, with some noise during the day. Swimming pool is rather small.

The place is at an ideal location, just a short walk from the beach – quiet, calm, and perfect for unwinding. It's not overcrowded, with only four rooms, which gives a very personal and homely experience. It truly felt like staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially Ana and Loveness, who made us feel genuinely cared for. We felt completely safe and at ease throughout our stay. The peaceful ambiance, combined with thoughtful hospitality, made it a perfect escape. Would definitely love to return!

However, there were a few drawbacks. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak and often unavailable, which made staying connected difficult. The kitchen menu was quite limited and didn’t match the pictures we saw on Instagram. Also, despite being mentioned in the description, there was no spa facility on-site, which felt misleading. One of the more frustrating experiences was a water supply issue—we were stuck mid-shower with no water and the washbasin had no running water either. There was no TV, and several things listed in the property description were either missing or not as expected. The pool also lacked basic safety features like depth markings or temperature control. While the stay had its calm charm, some improvements and more accurate listing details would really enhance the overall experience.

Breakfast was great, coffee, tea, freshly made juice, fruits, pancakes, toast, eggs the way you like and sometimes even croissants.Personel was so sweet, comforting, kind and helpfull. Remo and Nasra awaited us, Anna and Zusheina helped us in the restaurant and bar, The food was freshly made and the best we had in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. Ali kept us safe at night and learned me more Swahili. The rooms were spacious and were cleaned thoroughly every day by Catharina, Inez and Maria. The location and the view is amazing. We even got the seaview room when it was available from the ownerI really recommend this little gem with their 3 rooms.

I wish we could have stayed longer!

We felt perfect and exceptional the whole time thanks to the great team of people who took care of us. Great food, clean accommodation, great staff, girls, security, facilities, owner.. you will all be in my memory forever... a wonderful place, exactly for a vacation where you want to relax. Sunrise right from the apartment. I will miss all of that. If I come back, it will definitely be right here. We will definitely see each other again. Asante sana?❤️

This hotel is the best place for a quiet vacation in Zanzibar. We stayed here for five nights and thought every day that this was our place. The staff is young, helpful, attentive and caring. Always welcomes and accompanies with a smile. The food was super. The host Antonio took care of our experience on the island. Since we had a car, he pointed out places to see. And where you can't go by car, he ordered excursions for us. The internet was very weak, but sometimes it's good to be away from the world. Highly recommend, you don't be disappointed. But don't forget - this is Africa.

The Villa was an excellent, as we valued our stay and the staffs were very generous treating their guests with kindness, hospitality and respect.

the rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. the hotel is right on the ocean although with the tides it is not possible to swim all day. the location is more central than many other areas.

the location is in the ghettos and not in a nice neighborhood. the staff does not speak english, and they are not qualified at all. there are no facilities (no phone to call restaurants for example, no drinks, snacks even with payment), no one at the reception or anyone responsible in general. you have to treat this place as an airbnb and not as a hotel.

The place was on the beach, relaxing. We had a good time not considering 500$ were stolen from us.

We got first stoled 200$ from the room after the first room cleaning, we asked no one to enter the room after this, and then 300$ more before checkout, even if we changed the place of our cash. Ofcourse we cannot prove we lost this money, but for future guests take care... The owner told us nobody went in the room by watching the cameras. So for us we lost a good amount (we re not rich). Also the room is overrun, walls are degrading, the toilet, sink, shower are rusty... We payed almost 150$ per night but the place should not be more than 50$... Surely you can get better accomodation for this price somewhere else. The restaurant and bar are way to overpriced, if you can eat grilled lobster in the village for 20, here you can have fish for 50, or beer for 3 and here for 13...

Lovely place to stay in Zanzibar and perfect spot for sunrise. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed.

The only issue for us was the food menu as there was not a lot of options other than fish which neither of us liked but the staff and chef were very accommodating and would make other options if they had the supplies. There was no cider on the drinks menu only lager so the manager even went to the wholesaler to purchase some and we only paid the cost ?

The staff is amazing, the accomosation is imamculately clean. The breakfast is plenty and delicious, the garden is tidy and well taken care of, the ocean is right at the end of the garden. Beautiful accomodation.

The location is dissapointing. If you literally take 5 steps out from the hotel to the village it is the poorest slums that you have ver seen. Just walking to the local store and back is an unsettling experience, with kids bagging for food etc. People are generally friendly, but it is just not a nice enviroment outside.

It was very nice and clear ? the staff were lovely ? I can't complain.

I had a surprise birthday ? for my partner they organised everything from the room to dinner, and some writing ✍️ was done on the bed with pine leafs ? it was stunning.

If you want a quiet rest, without many tourists, to feel the life of a small village, that place is really for you! Thank you Staf, very helpful, the rooms are cleaned every day. Thank you Remo for the warm welcome, Ali for safe sleep and all the girls for the care and warmth.

I highly recommend Sofia Sea View, that place is amazing, beach front , lovely location, the facilities are great , very good quality and very clean .The breakfast is very good and the staff are lovely they are very helpful and friendly. I definitely will come back , but next time I wanna stay more time .Thank you for everything.

Everything was perfect!

Amazing holiday - the staff is awesome, so attentive, and kind people. The rooms were cleaned daily, and it was top-notch. The breakfast is quite simple, but delicious: eggs, pancakes with syrup, and jams - however the dinner was out of this world. So many options to choose from, and all taste 10/10, especially the fish tartare on mango - also, the portions are huge, so you won't feel hungry anymore.The view is also spectacular, but I would like to mention the staff - I have been to many places, but the staff here was the best I have ever met - all kind, attentive and also funny people.

There were some power outages, but that is not the fault of the property, but the general infrastructure - the longest took around 2 hours, so that is not that big of on issue.Besides of that, I can't mention anything that I did not like.

Waking up and literally being on the beach was what we liked best. The view is even more amazing than it looks in the photos. The friendliness and care of the staff also made all the difference.

First, The quality of the staff who was so so so Kind and available for taking care that you’re enjoying everything but the most important is that they was doing it without disturbing you or making you uncomfortable. Secondly we had all the necessary materials and everything was remarkably clean. Thirdly, security was completely there ?

Not big think! Just the variety of food because I would have liked to have the possibility of eating chicken/beef/african food. But also having a TV(maybe just at the the bar) for us who could watch football sometimes

Having the 3 rooms at the villa meant us having the entire villa to ourselves, which made it a great family trip location. Remo was a great help. Always willing to make our stay a good one, and travel tours as great as possible.

Initially they only had sea food on the menu, upon discussion, it was resolved.
