Tamu Tamu Boutique Hotel

From the very beginning, Wojtek waasa attentive to our needs going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay! We have two kids 4 and 1 and also traveled with my fiance's parents and we ALL loved our rooms. The staff became more like family over our 3 days at the resort too. We walked to town in about 15 mins and was able to pick up items we needed from the supermarket.The beach was beautiful and right behind the property making for easy access to the pretty Indian Ocean. Every single meal was delicious and chef, we miss your fried rice already! Wojtek worked with me to arrange a beautiful birthday dinner by the pool for my guy and it was the perfect place for us. Hussain and his team were wonderful, our children loved the pool, and we would happily go back to Tamu Tamu when back in Pwani Mchangani!

Staff were really helpful, especially the owner handled requests really fast. Everyone was really positive and friendly. Quiet and small intimate hotel, you can be in your own peace if you want. Rooms very clean and ac works well

The fan control point in the rooms can be changed, because it is difficult to turn it. And the generator may need to be repaired.

Amazing small boutique hotel on a beautiful part of the island. It really felt like home away from home. The staff is very personal and eager to make your stay memorable. Beautiful beach 1 minute walk. Breakfast was divers fresh and delicious. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. You really arrive in a tropical paradise. We had a very relaxed stay and wish to come back. Highly recommend!! Thansk again to all staff ?.

Very nice room and swimming pools

The common area were not well cleaned or kept with cats and a dog sleeping on the cushions of the swimming pool and in the dining area. The staff did not give us any tips or rules or information about the room, the place and the surroundings.

This small hotel is like a little getaway paradise. The design is very stylish but local and cosy. The service is exceptional! Would definitely stay here again. The beach is a 2-3 min walk and very close to an amazing reef where you can explore many sea creatures. It is also close to awesome fish restaurants and Mnemba island for snorkling.

The rooms were very nice and clean, hotel was small and very homely, beautiful surroundings and lovely staff!

There is no breakfast buffet, but still good options for breakfast, gets a little repetitive, but still good food.

I had a truly relaxing stay at Tamu Tamu. The atmosphere was incredibly serene and inviting, perfect for unwinding. The staff were absolutely wonderful, always greeting me with warm smiles and going out of their way to ensure my comfort. I felt truly cared for and appreciated during my time there. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

The lessens of the dogs and cats in the restaurant was a little off putting

Friendly and warm staff, great with kids. Hussein and Wojciech were fantastic, always very approachable and helpful. Really great house keeping. Well done!

There were too many chemicals in the swimming pool, which stained swim shorts yellow. My wife could not get kids swim shorts, nor mine back to the original colour no matter what she tried afterwards.

This is the place to stay in Zanzibar, can’t recommend it enough! The rooms are spacious and gorgeous, the staff are incredible and so accomodating. You will be very well taken care of!

It doesn’t get much better than this. Rooms brilliant. Cleanliness excellent. Great breakfast. And superb service. We were welcomed with some cold hibiscus juice which was refreshing in the heat, as we checked in. Our room (double room) was clean and tidy but we wanted one that was a little further away from the main quarters, as it turned out it was only the villas/family room on that wing of the property. But given that the rooms were empty, the manager Wojciech whose hospitality was top class throughout, gave us an upgrade into one of the villa apartments free of charge. Again the room was very clean and tidy and very spacious with great natural light throughout the day. The service was tremendous throughout, from the entire staff. One one occasion a glass water bottle broke and the manager had it immediately replaced and cleaned, not to mention the many recommendations we were given (as well as an offer to hitch a free ride with them to Jambiani) and help connecting with taxi drivers. Upon checkout they allowed us to keep our luggage in a vacant room for a few hours, giving us a chance to spend some more time in the area and the option of refreshing and taking a shower when coming back to take our luggage. Couldn’t recommend more! A big thank you to Wojciech and the entire team for such a hospitable stay

The bed was quite uncomfortable to sleep in. The location of the property is a little out of the way.

So many things to like! From the cute kittens, to the friendly staff, the helpful manager, the clean and well equipped apartments …Definitely our highlight in Zanzibar, we missed it dearly once we switched places

The bed is hard , was expecting soft and fluffy bed, and the blanket was not thick and fluffy too but more thin.
