    Pros +

    • I enjoyed my view to the ocean and the delightful staff members.
    • Amenities, breakfast
    • The staff was incredible, especially with our kids. The view, the beach, the sand, the food, just amazing. The rooms were beautiful. Super close to Mnemba Island.

    Cons -

    • That I couldn’t stay longer
    • The beach is full of algae so you get stuck by the pool without any view. Not much is happening around and the size of the hotel is not big enough to compensate for it
    • The jaccuzi water was not really clean. The bed was creaking. But nothing major. We will be back.

Absolutely loved my stay at Zanziblue! The views were stunning, the staff was kind, and the villa felt like home. Perfect spot to relax and recharge.

We really enjoyed the privacy and calm atmosphere of the hotel — it’s a small property, so it never felt crowded or noisy. The staff were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived; they were attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The food at the hotel was good — not the typical dishes you might expect by name, but each plate had the chef’s own creative touch. The lobster was excellent, both in size and flavor, and reasonably priced. The cocktails were fine, and the overall dining experience was pleasant. Our room was simple but clean, and we were lucky to have a view of the ocean and the sunrise. The manicure experience was surprisingly relaxing — not perfect in execution, but it felt like an hour-long mini spa treatment. Overall, the setting was peaceful and perfect for unwinding.

The value for money felt slightly on the higher end considering how simple the rooms were. The beach, while close by, wasn’t the typical turquoise paradise — the tides and algae made it less appealing for swimming, although we knew this. There isn’t much around the hotel, so dining options are limited to the on-site restaurant. We also experienced quite a bit of wind during our stay in early October, though that’s likely seasonal.

It was an excellent stay! The staff were truly wonderful, always smiling, professional, and ready to help with anything we needed. They surprised us one morning with the most beautiful breakfast, and it made our day so special. The food was excellent throughout our stay, fresh and flavorful every single time. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after long days of exploring.

The beach isn’t swimmable, but it’s beautiful to look at. They have a stunning pool, so it doesn’t really matter.

This is a beautiful, serene, quiet resort with a practically private gorgeous beach that I hated to leave. The rooms are welcoming and tasteful. Mine had perfect views of the sunrise and amazing, soft, white sand beach. At low tide, you can walk out very far. Best of all was the food. A beautiful breakfast was included (buffet style with eggs, pancakes, luscious fruits and much more. Dinners were incredible- I had local lobster and tuna at reasonable islanders prices. Dinners included salads, really 5 star. Note the resort isn’t on the north side of the island where it’s noisy, 3-wheel recreational scooters, and more touristy. I craved lovely quiet, reflective time with great food in a perfectly amazing setting. Zanziblue delivered, at affordable prices. They’ll arrange snorkeling to Mnembe Island (don’t miss it, use sunscreen.) Special thanks to Taziana and all the staff for your helpful kindness and laughter. I look forward to returning!

    Nothing, 10/10 in all categories.

Every thing was excellent, staff were wonderful, food was consistently great and the day tours arranged were very well organized.

The area is a bit remote (which is honestly a bonus as it decreases difficulties with the beach boys) however it did mean we needed to move in to stone town for the day before our early flight which was not ideal as would rather have stayed!

Food was Awsome. Fresh sea food. After 3 days the menu became repetative but nevertheless, we each ordered his favorite. The restaurant on the beach was charming and my favorite spot. It's a quiet safe area, not overwhelming with tourists. We LOVED our stay! We didn't leave the property.

The room is basic but still comfortable. I think the room could use some faceliftng.

I had a good stay at this hotel. The long beach was absolutely beautiful — good for peaceful walks. The rooms were well-maintained, offering a comfortable and clean environment throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their face. Recommended for anyone looking for a clean, relaxing getaway with a beautiful beachfront location.

Hospitality of the staffs and the service... and the maintenance and the quiet beach and the well decorated villas and the amazing food and the reef walk! Cant decide which one is at the top of the list

    Possibly nothing.

The hotel was very accommodating with our early arrival. We used the hotel to provide transportation to/from the airport and it was very convenient. Also had the hotel book our turtle swimming and sunset boat ride, which we loved. Also used the kayaks and paddle boards from the hotel. The food was very delicious and several fresh fruits and vegetables. Loved our stay at this hotel. Staff is so friendly and helpful with anything!

I like the attention to detail. Prior to our stay, we were already in touch about what we are looking for and what event were celebrating. We were amazed by the service of their staff, not to mention the tour guides that the hotel provided. Everyone is friendly, accommodating & helpful. We love the food & drinks at the restaurant that we even opted for a romantic dinner service. The food quality is excellent. The place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet & serene place.

Our stay was short and we didn't find anything that we dislike.

Beautiful buildings, well kept room and fantastic, attentive staff.

The options for eating/drinking outside of the property were minimal.

The restaurant of the hotel is exceptional. By far the best food we had in Zanzibar. The menu is both sophisticated yet simple, it has plenty of choices with very fresh ingredients and really well cooked dishes. Definitely a highlight of our stay. The hotel is clearly run in a very ethical way with a clear ambition to give back to the local community and reduce its environmental impact which was really appreciable.Loved the tours that were organised with local guides, loved the kindness and dedication of the staff.

Absolutely stunning resort with breathtaking ocean views! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. Perfect for a relaxing gateway. The beach is nice for walking but not the best for swimming.

The hotel is set on the most beautiful and quiet beach of Mayemwe. The villas are stunning , set in beautiful gardens.each and giving you the feeling that you are alone. The hotel never felt busy , very quiet and restful. The food was outstanding . The service and staff was outstanding. Every member of staff always had a smile and greeted you, no matter what the time of day. Hazel was extremely helpful. The room had the most amazing sea view and had a large balcony to enjoy it.We had the most amazing special barbecue dinner on the beach which is something I will never forget.
