Hotel Astor

Great location for me as I was visiting the club Open Ground which is only a stone's throw from Hotel Astor.Staff were friendly and welcoming.Room was nice, big comfy bed. Good temperature. Bathroom decent and functional. Overall top notch would stay again thanks.

The property could not have been more convenient. Right next to the Schwebebahn, from where I could travel to all the places in the area I wanted to visit. Very smart and tidy and the room was cleaned each day. Helpful and efficient staff.

Unfortunately, the plug socket and bedside lamp didn’t work. And they no longer issue a local travel pass, unlike some of the other nearby hotels. Sadly, in future, I will be taking my custom elsewhere, as I didn’t have access to a car and I made extensive use of public transport, which significantly increased the cost of my trip.

Location was excellent, near station early check-in much appreciated- staff were lovely but that's were it ended

Electric went out at 130am on last night and never came back - no staff at the hotel. No Breakfast at hotel. Room was uninviting and bed was not very comfortable only one pillow and very small duvet and radiators only came on once for 1 hour - bathroom was very small, WC is very strange impossible position and shower wasn't fitted properly. Seemed to be a lot of labour workers staying at hotel and walls very thin could hear both sides and up and below me. Windows overlooking railway where everyone could see you. Very small TV that didn't work( no signal) WIFI kept breaking down, loosing connection.

The police was friendly and apologized for the behaviour of the receptionist.

No water running for 12 hours. I complained about it to the receptionist and he decided that I was being rude. The receptionist lied... he said that he doesn't speak English so how can I insult him? I don't speak a word in German! While I was gone for work he decided to kick me out of the hotel without canceling my booking on the website, and took all my personal belongings from my room to the lobby (damaging some of my clothes). When i came back in the evening i wanted a refund for the rest of the stay, then he said that i'll get a refund in the future. i said that before leaving i needed a document proving that I'm no longer welcome here, and he refused and called the police. The police was amazing, apologized for this situation. I had to look for another hotel on a very rainy night. I'm still shocked that this property is still active on booking. BOOKING PLEASE REMOVE THIS "HOTEL"

The location is great as it's close to the Subway and the Schwebebahn.

Pretty much everything else. The breakfast is quite late so we didn't get the chance to even try it. One of our friends had to cancel 1 night and we still had to pay the fee for it. I understand the policy but we came with 8 people for 5 days meaning a total of 40 days thus they would only refund 2.5% of it which they refused. Still, understandable although not really nice. The sheets were mildly dirty, as a total everything is a bit dirty and not unbearable. We wanted to leave our baggages (7 people) it was refused as there were too many, The alternative they offered for us to leave them at the train station was not practical as all the safe deposit boxes were either not working or full. We had to go around the whole city with them at hand and mind you we had ladies who had to drag their 20+ kgs luggages around for multiple hours. Once again understandable but not nice. Lastly it seems they are quite lax in their policy as I've seen some gentlemen cooking something in a washtub in the middle of the night dragging it around.

Only one thing that is super convenient to everything.

Staff is rude, especially the owner is very rude person. Will not book this hotel again.

It's the location

The main door is not open always, they should give keys to the guest if they the locked the door when no one in the reception. It's not open 24 hours as they advertised. Every time we were out it was difficult to get inside the hotel as the main door was locked. you have to call t on the mobile number provided on the door so some one will open the door. . If you have no data on phone you will not able to get inside. Such a bad experience I had. Other than that every thing is ok.

The property is very nonsense. They do not have nothing no ventilation no AC no fan. You don’t have nothing and the stuff I’ve met at the reception he’s so arrogant. He did not have no Customer Service have to go online for the Customer Service .

Well the place is safe and clean the staff was also nice
