Clean room

No refrigerator and no telephone in the room like in the past. I need a refrigerator for medication and the best they could do was have you come downstairs and get ice in a bucket twice a day. also an additional $20 hotel fee not showing on the website

Location, descent facilities, great breakfast, parking.

Centrally located, the hotel has very good facilities and the rooms are spacious. The perfect stop on route to our destination in Germany, our stay at the Spark was the opportunity to ride the famous (and amazing) Wuppertal Schwebebahn.

The entrance to the car park was hard to find. There are stairs (and no ramp) from the elevator from the car park to the lobby, which is awkward with luggage.

Lot of self-driven activities like check-in and asking for ironer, but you understand that as means to drive price down.

Breakfast was excellent. A good reason to book this hotel. Overall, it was a good stay.

Nothing. Generally everything was good. Only the check-in didn't work at the 1st time, the staff was not able to find our booking. They were saying that they were not able to do check-in because there was no booking application available. At the end, another employee come with a list in a paper, and the problem was solved.

Great stay in the center of town, walking distance to the famous 'Schwebebahn'-definitely a highlight when traveling with children.We loved the interior design and everything is very modern and bright.

The breakfast seems pricy, but taken into account that there is a large choice and good coffee, it is ok compared to similar breakfast downtown.

The parking exit is for experienced drivers only when driving a 4,5-5m vehicle :-)

Parking to tight , i came with SUV was rather chsllengingy

- Great location. - Water heater / tea / coffee provided in room.- Helpful staff (when someone was actually there)

- Found stains on the towels- Found stains on the bedsheets- They charge you extra to store your luggage for a few hours after checkout, this is the first time I encounter a hotel in Germany that does this.- No staffed reception (only automated check-in screens, with sporadic staff around) so when I had a question upon leaving I had to circle around in the foyer wasting time trying to locate someone from the staff.- The Pillows were very flimsy and offered 0 neck support. I had to put one on top of the other for some firmness but it still wasn't good (also, you can't do this if you are 2 people in a room since there is only 1 pillow per side)- Mattress too soft, immediately dips under the body's weight, so there is no spine/back support when you sleep, resulting in back pain. Very uncomfortable overall

Really convenient location. Very close to the city center and public transportation. Good Breakfast option and comfy stay.

Entrance to the car parking was a bit small but not a major problem

great location across from central rail station and bus terminal. Hotel changed names again recently and has become a cashless enterprise.Close to restaurants and shopping mall. They kept the local transit pass for one’s stay, a big bonus. Breakfast options very good and endless

In their zeal to change and improve they made the mini fridge into a storage cabinet! Totally useless and NOT appreciated! Small issue, but an important convenience, especially for a so called 4 star property! If you sell beverages and snacks you should have mini fridges in the room, a small investment and has been there at previous property owners for decades. Poor decision to change.Furthermore, the towels/ bath towels are of a low quality, feel rough and are befitting a 2 star motel!

breakfast was really good, i've enjoyed it very much

the room is not really as I used to find it in the same hotel before renewal! now there is no telephone in the room, there is no minibar in the room, cleaning every 2nd day, first room i got, the door lock was damage and i had to change my room next day.

location was perfect for us as it very close to the train station (and even closer to the bus station). The breakfast was very good with an extensive selection of options catering for all dietary regimes. One particular attraction of this hotel was the inclusion of a day pass for Wuppertal public transport in the cost of the accommodation - very useful for riding the Schwebebahn!

The staff was exceptional - friendly and supportive. Whenever there was staff.Check-in is done with computers, sadly without people.

Too much technology, not enough people.

The location was perfect for somebody arriving by train. You just need to go up a staircase inside the train station (direction buses) to get almost directly to the hotel. The room was nice and clean, in a good state. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice. There was a safe in the room, a free bottle of water, a water boiler and some coffee and tee bags were also provided. From the hotel it is a short walk to the main shopping streets, the von der Heydt museum and other sights. The schwebebahn station is also close, and from there you can reach the rest of the city.

Check-in was done with an automat. Staff was around in case you needed help, but it felt unpersonal. Otherwise a very nice hotel.
