Friendly staff, perfect location for us.

No staff at reception at night, if you use Booking.com, your reservation number will not work on their check-in terminal. Central telephone number not always manned.

It was perfect,everything was clean and staff were very welcoming and kind. For sure I’ll come back?

Complete lack of professionalism, unacceptable treatment and false accusations

I booked two nights at the B&B HOTEL Wuppertal-City (from the 19th to the 21st) and on the afternoon of the 20th extended for a third night (from the 21st to the 22nd). The original receptionist, who had been very polite, agreed that I could stay in the same room and asked me to return the next day to settle payment and receive the new entry code.On the 21st at 13:30 I returned as instructed. I was brusquely admitted by a staff member, whom I assumed was another receptionist, who informed me that my reservation had been cancelled and that I had to leave. I explained that I had followed all instructions and that my booking was confirmed, but he refused to correct his mistake. After insisting he contact the original receptionist, he acknowledged the error and reinstated my reservation. When I asked for the new code and mentioned I would report the incident to his supervisor, he snapped: “Now you have really screwed up. I am calling the police and telling them you were the aggressive one.” Once inside my room, he did call the police, and it was only when the officers arrived that I realized this aggressive staff member was actually the hotel manager as indicated by his lapel badge.That the hotel manager would treat a paying guest with such arrogance, threats and abuse of authority, especially after the rest of the team had been courteous and professional, reveals an utter lack of professionalism. I was travelling alone from abroad, with all the effort, time and expense that entails, and this level of rudeness completely ruined my stay.I demand that hotel management provide a full explanation and issue a public apology. Treatment like this cannot go unaddressed. Of course, I will report both the company and this individual directly if no corrective measures are taken, and I have recordings of their behavior.I do not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking even a basic level of professionalism, empathy and respect.

The entire floor was under construction so I was bombarded with the sounds of drilling from 7am. Not exactly the most relaxing. And particularly not great when I was in town for something important and needed good sleep The room was very clean though, and the bed was comfortable so probably would have been a nice stay without the construction.

Close to the Town center and Schwebebahn. Easy to get about. Comfortable and clean room.

The renovations started 6 am and no info priorhand about renovations. Breakfast had to go to different hotel

Location and room cleaning .

1. Unexpected self-check-in to the room. No warning about this before arrival. Non-working terminal for payment by credit card at check-in. 2. Very unpleasant smell in the corridor, which spread into the room when the air conditioner was on. 3. No access to the hot water machine in the evening (the door to the kitchen is locked with a chain and padlock).

It was within 10 minutes walk from the train station and right across the hanging tram. The room was clean and comfortable.

We came right in the middle of renovations, so very limited services - we had to go to another B&B a block away for breakfast. Limited staffing (which is a security issue). And unfortunately we got woken up by constant hammering at 6 am !

Hotel is under renovation right now, and also heating was not working, ok i was told this at check-in, but i still need to put this as a minus

We stayed at the hotel for one night with my girlfriend and the satisfaction dropped immediately, the shower...whoever came up with the design had no brain because the toilet is right next to the shower so when someone goes to the toilet now it's more for mens,just standing with one foot in the shower....now what the.....okay about hotel cleanliness,yes it was clean,about that nothing but the biggest PROBLEM came at morning,we were sleeping,my girlfriend woke up like first like at 9 at morning and I was half sleeping and the perosonal that going clean hotel room....she just knocked on door and then just freaking opened door and we had to say hello? excuse us? we're here and that was biggest problem,why someone just came into room? it was bad,hotel personal just opened doors to hotel room while peoples are still here and what's even worse,around 11 it happened again! someone knocked and we were like WHAT?? Check out is at 12! this was really uncomfortable,if there was stars review,I would give 2 out 5

Used to be the IBIS. Now b&B. Getting a refurb in January so will see if that makes it better. Otherwise, standard ibis style. Check in chap was excellent.

Nothing really. Knew the ibis well and it hasn't changed.

The hotel is well located. Close to stations. Small comfortable room with what you need for a night or two in business trip.

Not being able to check in by ourselfs in the entrance. Dirty rugs, also with spots. While opening the water on the sink, a very bad smell came through the pipes.

The staff is great, very polite. It's situated nes train station, so it's easy to get to ant place. The beds are comfortable.

Sound

Accomodation is in the city centre and it has beds so you don't have to sleep on the street. But these are the only positive things what I can mention.

If you like animals, perfect hotel for you; I found 2 spiders in the bathroom. Plenty of spiders also outside, if you open the window. There are 2 lamps on the street in front of your window and curtains are short. There is no way to have darkness in the room.

Fantastic hotel, located 10 minutes walk from the center. Close to many bars, restaurants, and supermarkets.The room is big and clean, the bed is very comfortable, Wifi connection is very good, and the roomhas a very nice and clean bathroom. The staff were very communicative and nice, super friendly, and were always attentive and asked if I needed any helpwith anything.

Convenient location, friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms.

Bathroom was a bit small.
