Pros +
- Cleanliness, location and the smoothness of check in & out.
- Their all-AI approach is far from a McDream I hoped for
- The hotel is well situated in terms of being close to transit, the heart of the city and the main road heading out to the West. It is right next to a supermarket, so it was super easy to get food. Downtown restaurants are a short walk away. The place is very clean and an IA chatbot is available to answer questions.
Cons -
- An intriguing stay. Room was fine, clean and bright However, their 'all-digital' approach has been a frustrating experience. There is no reception and no human operator nearby. Both WhatsApp and telephone line are operated by AI, with occasional (but by no means guaranteed) human interaction. Once you discover this, the initial positive impression goes down from there...I tried to encode the room card, only to discover it doesn't open any doors. Two other guests entering at the same time had the same issue. There's a web app though. The web app takes room access away at checkout time and to the corridor soon after, so if you leave stuff behind, you have to wait and ask others to kindly let you in. (I saw people having to do this)On the checkout day, I wanted to use their lockers to store the luggage. The sign nearby says "please ask our staff at the front desk"... But there's no front desk. I messaged them over Whatsapp multiple times, but hasn't received any response... for over an hour? (Not even AI, maybe AI in Germany also takes a day off on Sundays?)I called the number prominently advertised on all doors, only to discover it's AI chatbot... She doesn't understand my rather basic request ('I want to use the locker'). It finally switched to English to say "we're an all digital hotel" but suddenly reverted to German to wish me a good day and hang up... Asking to wait till Monday. It was Sunday 11am. I gave up. If you leave stuff behind etc., there would be nobody to help. The coffee machine downstairs is out of order and dirty, has management forgot about this place?Humanless hotels don't have to be bad, but it was very disappointing for a hotel with ~80 rooms to not have a single person around, with AI as unhelpful as it was. It wasn't at all the McDream I hoped for
- The hotel did not seem to have a good HVAC system and the halls and rooms were a bit stuffy. Unfortunately, if you have the misfortune of having a room on the front side of the hotel, then opening a window for fresh air is not a solution. Local folks hang out and drink in the supermarket parking lot until 3am on weekends, so you have to pick between noise and fresh air and silence and a stuffy room. Lastly, the beds are too soft for a good night's sleep.
- The shared parking lot outside is noisy, with a car was and many vehicles coming in the night to rev engines and other. Very very noisy.

Most important, first place with a proper sized toiler and shower with both a rain head and a handheld washing head.Great price and decent location with a grocery store, a Döner shop and more nearby and a Bustop right on the street infront for easy access to and from the Trainstation.Small rooms, but not cramped. Was very adequate.
The shared parking lot outside is noisy, with a car was and many vehicles coming in the night to rev engines and other. Very very noisy.
Clean
Check in works only in German. And not well on Android phone.
everything is automated which really helps me to check-in and check-out smoothly.
parking the car was a bit confusing. we hope it will be instructed more easier way to the customer that how should they park their park in parking.
It was small room but clean and comfortable.
The door for the toilet was difficult to open ?
This time...nothing!
The hotel was under renovation and we had no idea that while we try to relax after a hectic day...there will be so many laud construction guys. What is more, we ordered double rooms with single beds (because we have used these rooms before in this hotel). They gave us ultra small rooms with a large single bed.
Very tidy and clean! Convenient surrounding.
It would be better if there was a Kettle in the room.
Good value for money, check in possible before arrival.
No staff (if you want to use luggage lockers, you have to call the customer service center etc.), loud people in front of the hotel during the night, bathroom is small.
I wasnt impressed with price 80 euros for 2 nights
Had probs getting into the hotel ,staffless not a good idea ,nothing special about the room ,bathroom was clean apart from the shower tiles were very grubby .door downstairs was permenantly open .no security
No breakfast is offered
The bathroom tiles in the shower seemedTo be dirty and there was a faint smell of sewage in the bathroom . My room code also didn’t work so I had to call for help
Central
Was quite noisy as window was facing 24 hour gas station
Passable
Not a good area. Drug addicts near the entrance. The police had to move people. Beggars also near the hotel
Disappointing
Very hot summer and we had to keep the windows open at night. Unfortunately our room on the first floor had a window onto the car parking. This was a shared car parking for several shops, kebabs etc. where teenagers gathered on the street. We could hear noisy motorbikes roaring late at night, lots of people smoking under our windows and in the early morning the cleaning service was sweeping up the rubbish with a petrol leaf blower (over 110 db of noise!).
No breakfast
No one to attend to customer,I have never seen such hotel in my entire life that would not have receptionist, it make it difficult for customers to complain of anything.
The room was clean
The exterior doors were unlocked and at times left propped wide open allowing anyone to enter into the building and access to the halls of the rooms. I experienced someone knocking at my door at 11:30 PM with no way to look out to see who is there. This was very unsettling.
Exast fan is noisy but staff help.
Everything is online and it's irritating
Good location, accessible by bus late at night from Wuppertal Hbf. I had the wrong door code so that I couldn't get into my room, but when I called the helpline they sorted it out really quickly.
Bathroom wasn't super clean, but this was by no means a deal-breaker.
Registration and check-in need improvements.
Check-in and registration is complicated. There is no reception in the hotel, but a computer where you can check in - this is fine. But before our stay, Mcdreams sent lots of emails reminding us to complete the registration - we did that in advance. When arriving to the hotel, we had to enter the same information once again. Also, while the room should be available until 11:00 they locked us out already at 10:00. The door locking system's clock is probably not set correctly.
