    Pros +

    • The room is clean, has everything you need on the most basic level, but totally ok for the price of the room.
    • Staff reacted immediately when I requested to exchange a room due to bad smell of cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted, but a previous guest definitely didn’t care.
    • The place is close to the opera house. Room was clean

    Cons -

    • The walls are very thin, the street can be loud.
    • Rooms look better on the photos, but all basics are there for a short stay. Remember to bring your own drinkable water, not provided. Code to get the key was said over the door phone, that was difficult to understand due to poor connection. I spend 17min in front of that door phone trying to figure out what numbers another person was trying to say. Sending the codes in the text format would be so much less hassle.
    • Room is hospital like. The photos are very different from the reality. Lighting in room is harsh and is definitely not cozy. We ate breakfast somewhere else.

Breakfast was good and the value for what you got was also good

bit of a noisy street. Parking stated is just parking on the street. We found a spot a block away. Check is is thru a passcode to disperse the room keys. Ok if you have internet

Breakfast was very good. Host was pleasant and helpful.

I came from from warm weather. The heater was an old type. At its highest, room was still cold. It was quite a bit of a walk from the nearest train station when pulling a suitcase in the cold.

-10 min. walk to barmen train station-clean and simple room & bathroom-good working wifi-easy access through code-check-in time: 12:30 which is very good

on the booking com and at the door of the hotel it is written that breakfast on weekends (wochenende/feiertags) is served from 7am, but when I went for breakfast at 7:15 the reception/breakfast room was closed.talking through phone the guy tried to convince me that on sundays breakfast starts from 8am. I know what "wochenende/feiertags" means. when I insisted he said come in 30 min. when I came back the reception and breakfast room was opened, but it was too late for me to breakfast in calm mood because I had to catch a specific train. I rushed to prepare two sandwiches.if I would have known that the breakfast starts late, I would have not booked the room breakfast included.

    Uncomplicated check-in & check-out, early check-in 12:30 and late check-out 11:30. Friendly Housekeeping ?

Looked better on the pictures than in reality.

Location is good , not far to the Schwebebahn.

Lots of stairs and no lift. The web site advertised free parking ( twice ), but that is only parking on a very busy street, full of cars. You might find a spot further away. There is no place to pull up to unload luggage. No amenities in the room, nothing ( i.e. water heater, bar fridge etc.).

Easy check in without any questions or formulas to fill and the room was very good for the price paid

Shower was bad and the water was either too hot or too cold

    4ElenaPosted on: 9-13-2024

The fellow who served breakfast was helpful with questions.

Hotel location: the road was very busy, very noisy. The room was hot, no a/c, no fan, so window had to be kept open.Breakfast was mediocre.

    Just a hic

The only thing I would complain about is the fact that I didn't know there was no elevator. Coming with two luggage and having to carry them up was a bit difficult. But that could be my fault for not checking whether it was listed on the app that there was no elevator. If not listed, please do well to add it for everyone to be aware. Besides this, I really liked it. For the price, it was definitely great. Thank you very much!

Easy self check-in, comfortable bed with clean sheets, fun experience with the Schwebebahn on the way to the hotel, really good for the affordable price

    It’s orderly, clean, modern

There is no slippers, no toothbrush/toothpaste provided. I had to call early this morning where to go for breakfast since from the time of booking it’s already indicated that breakfast is included and paid and they weren’t prepared. Good thing we were not in a hurry and we understood. The staff has also apologized for the delay. Apologies accepted. :)P.S. the breakfast was well prepared and presented to us. :)

    9ErhijanPosted on: 5-3-2024

It’s a clean place for sleeping. The property was warm and comfortable.

I was assigned to the 5th floor and unfortunately, during my stay, the elevator was out of order, which was inconvenient.

    Clean safe location

    4SarahPosted on: 1-27-2024

The price was good. Room was overall clean.

The smell of smokers. There are definitely people who smoke there.

    5SheilaPosted on: 12-18-2023

    Comfortable bed

You cannot include parking on booking if the parking is in the street. This is not safe for persons that are traveling alone. Reception closed at 6pm even if it says that you are open until 7:30pm on Saturdays. Staff was not cool.

    5HelenaPosted on: 12-13-2023

I found the entrance a bit difficult and no open reception as I came quite late.Further, as I had booked two nights as I intended to attend an exhibition in Düsseldorf. I had to leave for the second night because the trains to Düsseldorf were cancelled because of strikes. And, I did not get return of the payment for the second night as I could not stay in Wuppertal and then not be able to continue to attend the exhibition. So I left and spent time in Düsseldorf and spent the time at the exhibition.I think Wuppertal is a nice town.

    5WojtekPosted on: 11-20-2023

    Passable

No parking and the public street parking was impossibly busy and restricted.

    5AlexPosted on: 10-12-2023

I loved the location, it's only a five minutes walk to the train station. This saved me lots of money that I could use for taxi.

I arrived there late in the night, I almost got stuck there because I could not figure out it was a self check in and that there was nobody at the reception that time. I only find out they has communicated this on a German only email . Considering I don't speak German this was quite unexpected. I only got help from a couple who hotspoted me and translated my email for us to figure this out. The beds and rooms were also too small
