Holiday Inn Express Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof By IHG

Location, cleanliness and breakfast.

Rooms are not cleaned daily. Myst ask at the front desk for cleaning and clean towels.

Breakfasts are always best

Mattress wasn’t comfortable, air conditioning was working too loudly that we couldn’t get a decent sleep

I liked firstly the location before I was attended to by a well / neatly dressed lady, the environment starting from the entrance, reception till my room was all commendable and worth revisiting... I loved my experience in the Hotel and surely will recommend it to friends and personally revisit the facility in no distance time.

location, breakfast, room facilities, clean toilet

Room was hot. AC was not working. Temperature set was never met like 20 deg.Had to open windows which is noisy.Parking is bit difficult.Best one nearby is Hauptbahnof but that was not recommended.Costlier one was recommended but access to that was not well explained (Of course road closures)

Close to Wuppertal HBF, breakfast included, clean hotel and room

Great location and great breakfast. The room was small but comfortable.

We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned during that time.

Great Location, just steps away from the Schwebebahn Station. The breakfast offered a good spread and high quality coffee options. The kids particularly enjoyed watching the upside down trains going by the window of the breakfast hall. What really stood out about this hotel however was the friendly and helpful staff! Every interaction was pleasant and everyone went above and beyond to make the stay feel special for my family.

Small detail, but the carpet had large obvious stains in several central areas. Little gross. The cleanliness of the room was implacable otherwise.

It was really close to the station which made it easy to go everywhere, very conveniently located in the heart of the town area with a lot of stores/restaurants and caffès near by Location, and the level of service, spacious room and beyond comfy bed, the breakfast was also good with a fresh pan cake makerThey also had great coffee machine with to go mugs and to go bags you can grab something in and go

Everything in this hotel exceeded our expectations. The room, the location, and especially the breakfast, which is included

We found Wuppertal itself to be a very ugly and rather depressing city. Like Pina Bausch (who lived and worked here) has said: "It's a workday city, not a Sunday city". But for that, the hotel is not to blame of course ;-)

breakfast ok. location convenient

booked a double room with double bed, got a room with twin beds, request to change the room was denied by staff (claiming we were not booking through their own webpage, probably just a bad excuse)

Clean, comfortable, calm, very close to the station and a lot of shops, restaurants. Good breakfast

The cleaning lady comes once every three days, which is too long, in my opinion

Perfect location, close to the main station and to the suspension railway. Good buffet breakfast included in the price. Staff was kind and helpful. Room was clean.

The bed was extremely soft fro me.

Breakfast is good (considering the hotel price). Kids enjoying the pancake machine and make pancakes themselves ;)

Parking: due to its central location, the hotel does not have enough parking slots, need to park at another parking garage nearby.

The location

No change of towels after 2 nights of stay. I needed to bring them to the reception to receive new and clean towels

Great location in the very center of Wuppertal and with the view of the legendary Schwebebahn. Friendly staff. The room was very spacious and clean, bed big and comfortable. Overall a great value for the money.

Good location of the hotel

When we checked into the hotel we were given a room that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. They quickly changed our room. But in the next room there was trash from previous guests. Only one large towel. The carpet was dirty.

Very clean . Nice snd helpful staff. They didn’t have more parking spaces in the hotel but they help us with it and show us where we can park by walking distance from hotel. Nice breakfast .

Walking from parking garage in the central station to hotel in the evening is not fun. We did a bit of detour as people around didn’t look nice to past around .

Great location close to the main train station. Decent sized room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is more basic than other hotels but still had a decent selection to choose from.

Very close to the central station, we could see the Schwebebahn from our window. Nice clean room and nice breakfast.

The shower door didn't work properly so the floor got quite wet while showering.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a very central and convenient location. Also surprisingly low cost. Very good value for money!

The city of Wuppertal can be a bit tricky if you arrive by car. The hotel offers parking at an additional cost, which is a courtesy but you still have to get there by car.
