Garden Hotel Krefeld

Friendly staff and quite good breakfast.

The room was very poor with space and furniture and bags with kapok as pillows.The bathroom was actually not very clean with dirty towels and urine smell at the toilet.

Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel (free) and availablity of paid underground parking,

Room and hotel (after desk hours) entry is only by a 8 digit code , nice location,big balcony,but no seating, breakfast was typical European taste .

no staff at hotel after 21;00 hrs and the password for entry was very risky as it sometimes does not work

Very correct breakfast - Good ratio quality/price

No climatisation despite warm night => Need to open the window that open on a "balcony" that is accessible from others rooms + Error by the staff who gave same code of my room digital key to another room => Surprised at 11:30 PM to see somebody entering in my room ! => Not at the level of my company security expectations

Lift’s was very small and no staff at reception 24 hours

The hotel was convenient for my business trip ( not too far from Messe Dusseldorf, with ok road traffic). The staff was nice and been good host. Breakfast on the top of the building is nice.

the quality of the mattress was just ok. Besides that nothing else.

The supermarkets are nearby. And the park is also nearby. The view is not bad outside the window.

In front of the window is a balcony and people can open the window and go through others window. A little security anxiety for me. The similar security nervous is that the door has no lock from inside. The shower water faucet is complex for me to set the right temperature of water. Have tried many times. At the end done it.

only one elevator

excellent breakfast, breakfast.Hotel is old but very clean and up to date.

Hotel is old therefore elevators are very small and barely fit manual wheelchair width and length. Wheelchair could not fit through bathroom door. All this was known prior to visit so no surprise. We improvised and made it work.

Welcome bottle of water in the room

Photos on booking have a little common with reality. Slow reception. Limited parking lots wich one were occupied by non hotel's visitors. No AC. Small choice of breakfast. Not value for money. It would be good for 80 EUR for two persons

Clean room, good service, beautiful view, best location

+ Location is good as near the Botanic Gardens+ parking available outside the hotel + room is spacious + fan is provided in the room which is perfect for the summer + modern access using keypad to unlock room door+ Lift available for access

- A staff member was lurking following guests to their rooms which felt invasive and excessive - Check in was slow, staff was attending to phones instead of dealing with customers at reception- just one lift to serve 10 floors, a bit of a wait to get around
