- I was there during winter, coming from a country with a warm climate. I did not get adequate assistance when I requested assistance to keep warm. It is an international hotel yet I found it difficult to communicate in English

The hotel is old-fashioned and in need of renovation. This isn't a criticism; it has its charm, but some of the furnishings should be replaced.
I wasn't negatively surprised by anything. Having researched the hotel before booking, I knew what to expect when I got there.
The price and the proximity to Dortmund’s stadium, the Westfalenhalle and restaurants/shops
The drain in my shower was blocked so I couldn’t shower, otherwise I’d flood the bathroom. I had to try and use the bathroom sink, soap and a sponge to clean myself. The toilet also had an issue where sometimes, the water wouldn’t refill so I had to remove the cistern lead and realign the float. On my final day, I had to leave my key with reception for some reason and collect it when I got back. But when I got back, nobody was at reception despite repeated presses of the bell
Nice location, at walking distance from the city center (if you don't mind a nice 20 minutes walk).Very pleasant staff, they spoke several languages, including my native language. The breakfast was quite complete and well cooked and nicely served.
The door to the room is old and not a good sound insulator. At night I could hear almost everything, even people speaking in the hall at normal level. The stairs access could be better pointed. I'd rather use the stairs whenever I can instead of the elevator. Some of the staff, although friendly, spoke only German, with is not an advantage in a big city like Dortmund with international travelers.
Location n courteous staff
Should be some better option in breakfasts specifically vegetarian
Excellent staff, excellent location. Wifi fast and reliable.
The facilities were very dated. I’d read the reviews, so I expected something basic, and even hoped for a bit of charm in that, but the reality was that it was quite uncomfortable. I can usually sleep anywhere, but the mattress was old and uneven, with just one pillow and a thin duvet. I had to screw in a bulb before the desk lamp would work, and even then the wiring and switches seemed too old to feel safe. The shower was the classic two-tap setup, which meant playing that awkward game of balancing scorching hot with icy cold. The bathroom itself felt like something from a 1980s school. On the positive side, the staff were wonderful, WiFi was excellent, and certain aspects of the place definitely have a quirky, old-fashioned charm (it would be a fantastic film set). But overall, it wasn’t comfortable; my room felt more like staying in a monastery than in a hotel.
Close to the Westfalen Halle. Quiet, smell is ok. We had everything we needed.
The hotel is old and used, but it did not bother us.
Everything was great. A room with a balcony, just a few minutes from the YELLOW WALL. Great service, best regards to Snjezana. "Sefica" is really crazy and that blew me away, so much fun..For sure I comming back. BVB vs Bayern????
The staff is the most remarkable asset. Friendly and helpful
The hotel does not look appealing. It needs renovation in every corner. We arrived late in the evening and the room was really cold.Bed linen look old and not clean. Some hair was found in the bathrrom. Our room light was off the 2nd night, so they changed our room. In our new room, the bathroom light was not working. If I decided to stay in a budget accommodation, I expect it to be on a buget, not ca. 80€ per room.
Perfect location to visit a Borussia Dortmund game. Very close to the stadium.
Outdated, very small shower and the beds are not comfortable and very "squeaky". I don't mind staying in an outdated hotel, if the price is fair. This was not worth 182 euros for 1 night, breakfast not included....

Staff was nice, breakfast was generally good
Not enough staff, unprofessional management, food in restaurant horrible, had to wait also too long

Proximity to our destination was perfect. Staff were very helpful. All basic necessities were met.
Cleanliness of bathroom could be improved on.
I did not have the breakfast
At the price of around €100 per night I would expect more facilities and service, for example complementary tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Though I would say that the staff were kind enough to give me a flask of hot water to use in the room. I would say that the whole building is looking old and in some need of modernisation.
Really nice and helpful staff. Was able to check in before normal time. Simple room but had what I needed.
The hotel felt a bit old. Would need a facelift.

Proximity to stadium. Staff friendly and good access to centre via metro.
Bar was a bit haphazard. Hotel needs larger pillows.
