Sunday Hotel Dortmund City

We liked the location, i.e. the fact that it's right in the center of the city and very close to the train station. We liked the politeness and willingness to help of the breakfast staff.

It's not a criticism per se, as the room was fine, but we noticed other rooms had carpet flooring, while ours had wood flooring. Perhaps our room was basic, and the others were more premium, I do not know for sure. Also, we landed in the morning, and the check-in was at 3 pm; as we were travelling with a toddler, we went to the hotel at about 1:30, and asked if we may check-in a bit earlier (it was only one hour and a half), but the receptionist or the supervisor (I don't know who she was) refused pretty bluntly. While I understand the hotel policy and was very clearly informed that check-in is at 3 pm, I had hoped for a more friendly approach, considering the above context.

Central location and clean place.

Shower was broken. Had to use bath tub!Should be easy to fix

Nice downtown location, near the main station and the main shopping area. Try and get a quiet room towards the backyard. The beds are solid and comfortable and the facilities clean and functional, although not brandnew. The hotel consists of three storeys in the middle of a big office block and is accessible by lift. Breakfast is nice and the view quite impressive.

The carpet in the breakfast room was dirty.

The location is great if you want to catch a train or the early bus to the airport or visit the city.

A location also has disadvantages. Due to its central location, it isn't quiet. Our room was on the 4th floor, and we heard the noises from nearby bars until 5 am, so bring a great pair of earplugs

The location is very good. The room is clean. The staff is friendly.

The only thing that made me uncomfortable was that I couldn't pay with a card.

The staffs were very good in welcoming and satisfy visitors need. Rooms were clean and not noisy i highly appricaite it and recommend about it.

the city itself is a bit nasty, big chihuahua like rats through the streets combined with worn down people, the woman were not hiding their gigantic bouncy chests and saw many free clits it was disgusting the people there have no dignity

Location and cleanliness were excellent.

We paid for our 11 year old kid as well but didn't get an extra bed or bigger room. Hence it seemed a bit costly and not so much value for money

The location and that’s about it.

The value for money was not good. I understand it was a central location on match day but the room was one of the most basic I’d stayed in; I actually laughed when I went into the room. Not what I’d expect from such a reputable brand.

Great location right in city center close to shops and restaurants as well as Dortmund HBF and several ubahn stations. Great sized room for solo traveler, full sized bed, good sized bathroom and very clean.

Nothing it was a perfect fit for my needs

Location was good.

The staff wasn’t informed about any services. But there was a woman from who knows everything. A lot thanks to her. The entrance to the hotel was one step higher, and the baby carriage was difficult to lift.

Breakfast option was limited and staff serving breakfast was not friendly. They did not refill items even when 30 mins were left - Imagine they say they don’t have eggs in kitchen also...

Amazing location centre of the city and very friendly staff and place is clean room service is superb and warm and heated rooms.. All essentials are provided well.. Recommend to everyone to stay while your visit in dortmund
