Pros +
- Just an overnight stay. Good location across from train station and an easy walk to restaurants and river.
- Good value for money
- Great location, iconic and stylish. Friendly staff and great breakfast
Cons -
- It was very cold outside, the room was not pre-heated when we arrived; the heating kicked in relatively fast though
- Service. Not 5 star at all. I had to wait for the employee to finish smoking outside to do my check in, and no apologies on that (even though I passed through him to enter the hotel). Then, even though I booked a double bed specifically, they gave me a twin room, I asked to change, which they did eventually, but once again they didn’t even apologize. Also, there were stains in the furniture but I did not want to change rooms for a second time.. I’ve stayed in much better 3 and 4 star hotels. They didn’t really pay attention to the costumer, did not provide information about complementary options (spa, water etc..). Very bad service overall. On the next day the lady at the front desk was much nicer but only interacted to do checkout. For a similar or lower price, I would reconsider and maybe book the hotel across the street.
- We've been before on this hotel and it all was fine, however unfortunately many things piled up during this specific stay.We first got a room that had some banging noise coming from a maintenance room on an adjacent wall.We then got moved to a different room that didn't meet the criteria of what we booked (no bathtub, no table area). Then we got "upgraded" to yet a different room which also didn't meet the criteria of what we booked (no table area), but on top of that was full of dust, had an uneven mattress and was at a constant 25°C (despite it being January, having turned off the radiators, opened the windows, and tried to set the AC to anything lower than that). You'd think, well, at least you could disconnect on the wellness area, except that out of the 4 facilities, 2 were off, even though we were told multiple times that they would "turn it on".The cherries on top were how apparently despite the 5 stars it doesn't have 24/7 reception (after 11PM you need to place a phone call to get someone to open the main door!?), our room didn't have bathrobes (we asked and got a reply of "have you checked on the wardrobe?") and took almost 1 hour to get them delivered by the staff, and they attempted to charge us a different amount (30€) than previously indicated (25€) for late checkout until 2PM.

Location is very goo. Beds were ok. Not too much noise from the street even though it is right next to the train station.

The location next to Arnhem Centraal station and that's next to the city center.

Excellent location, nice facilities in the hotel and in the room, beautiful room and very nice sauna!
You can hear other people showering and flushing the toilets, and you also can't regulate the heating.
The breakfast was exceptional, dishes was seved in small trays making it very easy to handle and no wast.
Lift could use another coat of gold paint
The location and the facilities and especially the breakfast
The bed was small and quite uncomfortable
Perfect location, great breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms.
Room was nice, bed was really good, long, as is 220 cm. Confortable! Also bathroom was good.
Room was very noisy, especially the toilet. If a neighbor flushed it, I heard it in my toilet. Also during the night. You could also hear the tv from the neighbors and the talks they had!
First time I visited since years, and I was very impressed with the new Haarhuis, revamped and an asset to Arnhem.
Great service, helpful employees, great location.
Couldn't set airconditioning, they upgraded me to another room but it wasn't possible to set airco. Both rooms were 23c or warmer even with windows open.
Great location near the train station and central shopping and food.
Some moisture issues in the room.
Room was well equiped and the shower was great. Liked the coffee maker in room.
It’s clean, comfortable, well located to the center, trendy
Perfect location, especially when traveling by public transport. Spacious room with modern bathroom. Friendly and efficient staff.
My room had a lot of street noise. Almost like there was an open window (I checked multiple times and they were really closed). The room had some furniture squeezed in a corner. Obviously to tick a box for a 5 star hotel, but the furniture wasn't very useful.
Staff were helpful and kind throughout my stay and made me very welcome. It's handily positioned for Arnhem Railway station, and the centre of town is only a short stroll away. There's a sauna on the fourth floor which has a great view over the town, which was fun.
Personally I found the dark decor a bit oppressive, but that's my taste.
Well located, next to station (but safe area) and very close to city center (shops, restaurants)
The breakfast was good and the location was exceptional.
The towels were not changed during the entire stay. And the last day of stay the shampoo was not given
Spa, comfortable room, great location, deco inside
It was perfect
