    Pros +

    • Clean and close to the Citadel. The furtniture is old but is clean. Good for a night stay if you want to be near the local atractions.
    • I was hiking on Via Transilvanica and stopped here at is was on my way. Verry happy with the hotel. Close to the main city attraction (very helpful after hiking 20 miles!) and great view from the hotel room. Reception open 24 h, the first property on my journey in Romania where I had these. Good value for money!
    • Friendly Staff, comfortable and spacious rooms in a nice location, nearby the fortress. Free parking places.

    Cons -

    • The rooms were outdated and in need of an upgrade... the hotel is presently upgrading the rooms.
    • The personnel is very antisocial, they don't even bother. The rooms are anchored in history, with very rundown design, but at least the bed matresses were new and comfy. The bathrooms are okay, but the hot water is dark in colour as you turn on the tap. I very much hope they will renovate the hotel soon, it is a same to let it waste
    • A little bit too cold inside, especially in the lobby and in the restaurant.

It is located in the heart of the city, near the citadel. Free parking. The breakfast was okay.

Great location, friendly staff, free parking places; breakfast-basic, but decent.

A little bit too cold inside, especially in the lobby and in the restaurant.

I'm staying here every time I'm in Alba Iulia because of the perfect location(near fortress).Decent or great conditions, depending on the room you get (updated or not). Apparently things are improving, since breakfast was better, the elevators updated and it looked much cleaner, so I will definetly return.

This time we received not updated rooms and the mattress was not quite my ray of sunshine, but it was ok (I'm just fastidious when it comes to mattresses).

Terrible experience, the staff is there only to get paid. The staff needs serious training regarding customer service.

    Staff, cleanings, room, furniture, bed.

    outdated, needs strong renovation

    The calm, the staff

    The breakfast and old bathrooms

Location was very convenient to visit the historic site. Parking was available. Breakfast was good. Great city view from our room.

Room could use some updating. One elevator seemed to be out of service during our stay, a bit longer wait for only one elevator at the time. Staff can smile when greeting!

Location right in the centre, just beside the citadel

The smell of dirt in the room, maybe somebody was smoked even the room îs not for smoking

    10BogdanPosted on: 11-4-2024

The location is excellent, with free parking right in front (only a few dozen spots, but there was availability when we arrived). Breakfast and coffee were good, and the room was clean and warm (with A/C available if needed). Check-in and check-out were super fast. We arrived close to midnight though. The lobby and restaurant look nice. Overall, unbeatable value for money.

Don’t expect luxury. We booked just before midnight, when there was very limited availability in Alba Iulia. Although our expectations were low due to the hotel’s rating, it actually exceeded them. The doors definitely need replacement or refurbishment, and the bathrooms and some furniture could use repairs. However, for a one-night stay, this didn’t bother us too much. There were signs of ongoing refurbishment throughout the hotel, so conditions may improve in the near future.

    Location

First they gave us a used room, not cleaned, the bed was slept in, bathroom also used

    7MihaelaPosted on: 9-19-2024

Good location, but the room is not ideal. I would call it a room like the ones from the communist times (which is not necessarily a bad thing, it's just a way of describing the style) It is clean, I can give it that.

The bathroom looked worse than the one from the old blocks.

    6AUGUSTINPosted on: 9-15-2024

Good location close to the Cetate.

The bathroom was old with dark blue broken titles and missing shower curtains.

    7MadalinaPosted on: 9-3-2024

Location is amazing, few steps from the Cetate walls and main downtown attractions.

Parking is a hassle, as it is used by anyone who wants to skip the payed parking lot. Finding a spot was a bit of a challenge.

    5MihailPosted on: 8-22-2024

The position close to the citadel.

Not clean. Not working facilities. Personal not that friendly.

    4AndraPosted on: 8-16-2024

The only positive points I could find are the following: private bathroom, beautiful view, TV and the varied buffed breakfast.

You cannot call you a 3-star hotel with an outdated bathroom, torn carpet and curtain gallery presented in this manner (pictures enclosed). Also, mosquito nest, air conditioning and hair dryer were missing. Another unpleasant point discovered is that the front and bathroom doors were broken, we couldn't close them completely.Although mentioned in the facilities list the toiletries were missing as well. The towels had the tag attached thus I highly doubt these were previously sanitized.Last but not least, the bathroom had no air shaft ventilation grille or window for ventilation after taking a shower.

location, good breakfast, friendly staff, great views out the window

shower didn't work properly, very uncomfortable bathroom door positioningcarpet was in a bad state
