Great location

A/C didn¿t work, sink was clogged and the refrigerator didn¿t work.

Staff from reception. Good value for money.

Poor waiter services in the main restaurant. The poorest ever, actually. Cold water at the pool.

Rooms too warm even at -12 outside, staff at Restau not very polite with 0 english , music playing outside rooms all night was audible

It was well located. The breakfast was decent. They had coffee machines and decorations for the holidays. Swimming pool was ok, but opens later on Mondays. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Staff at the hotel was nice. Citadel view from room was nice and there was a large balcony. The church view from breakfast room is also nice.

Super outdated and old. Needs a lot of maintenance. The pictures advertised are either over 10 years old or filtered a lot. There are stains everywhere especially the sofa , it was gross. Lamp attached to the bed was falling off. The staff is not responsive on booking which is inconvenient and unhelpful. If they respond it’s only with one word which is rather rude and doesn’t answer your question. They have a tiny parking space so although they advertise free parking we still had to pay for public one as there was no more space. Not convenient for families as they don’t offer a crib and the sofa bed is too dangerous for kids with metal all around.

The room was very big and we had enough space for all 3 of us.

The main reason why I chose this hotel was the SPA but the temperature in the swimming pool was very low ( my boy 4 years old was shaking because of the low temperature)In the first day we informed the staff about the temperature of the water but nothing changed and the second day we checked the water temperature and decided to leave.

Pool area was clean, dry sauna temperature was good (90). Hotel is close to touristic area.

Low amount of parking spots owned by hotel. Room space is enough for 2 adults and a child, but: low light in the room from electric fixtures, glass doors are improperly sealed, so cold draft is coming into room. Bathroom door is very close to the shower drainage, so the door is mouldy and inflated from the moisture. Soap dispenser is placed 50 cm from the sink, I am missing the logic here.Breakfast is expensive at 70 lei per adult, but the quality is below par, staff is untrained and borderline rude, often simple items were missing from the buffet (omelette, yellow cheese, etc) and staff wasn't available to refill. Clients who wants to smoke are allowed to exit from breakfast area straight out, this is creating a very cold area in the restaurant.Lunch and dinner options are slim, the same low quality and expensive items.Overall, combined with the low light level in the hotel, it creates a very old and unkept ambiance.The water is the pool is cold, maybe an adult can handle it, but is hard for a child. Pool towels are worn out, mismatched, the beds are not in their prime.

The location + the spa facilities especially the jacuzzi.

Great location — just a few steps from the old town, so it’s easy to explore everything on foot. Convenient access from the main road and a comfortable place to rest and sleep.

There were a few maintenance issues in the room, from towel hooks to some minor wear and tear, and the soundproofing could be better. Overall, we expected a bit more from a hotel of this level — the room didn’t fully meet our expectations.

Having a free parking spot in the underground garage was nice. Also the bed was really comfortable.

The biggest disappointment was that I booked a room with a balcony, but got a room without it. Another issue was that the room just felt outdated and not well maintained, for example the bathroom sink is wobbely, random wires hanging around for no reason, with a little bit of effort it would be much nicer. Also some of the staff didn't speek english well, so the comunication was lacking and at no point did anyone ask if the service was good or not and they seemed to genuinly not care, didn't see a single smile from the staff, not a very good atmosphere in general, maybe it was not their best day, but I wouldn't come back.

Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Parking was easy. Location was very convenient, right by a big road but also close to the citadel and the river.

Bathroom had a slight sewer smell.

Well located. Good breakfast, spacious room and nice spa zone.

Central position and beds comfort

I have stayed at many DoubleTree hotels, and I was very disappointed with the one in Sighisoara. The hotel was far below the standards I expect. The inside pool windows were so diety that you could not see through, not washed in a very long time. There was dust everywhere, and breakfast was poor—burnt bacon and not enough food overall.The room was not enjoyable, but beds were comfortable. There was no hairdryer!!! I had to call housekeeping to remove large dead spiders from the walls. The linen had not been changed, and I found garbage and hair under the duvet that did not belong to me. After the room was cleaned, there was no toilet paper, no pen or water in the minibar. A used mug was left next to the kettle as if it was clean. The ladies from housekeeping were nice and friendly. I would rate this hotel 2 stars at most, I went twice for breakfast at 9:45 and was just some bread and 2,3 eggs so I decided to eat in a different place. This experience left a bitter taste in my mouth as I came to enjoy with my family and 4 yrs old.

Big hotel with great breakfast and lots of facilities. Great staff and many facilities, including a pool, sauna and an above average gym for a hotel standard.

Nothing negative for a three night stay.

Good location and price

Room was not clean upon arrival. had garbage full of cigarettes and smelled like smoke. In their defense, we didn’t ask them for a new room since we were exhausted and only staying a night.

The location of the hotel is very good and also them having a parking lot, is a big plus. The reception staff was very nice, as well.

The hotel needs to undergo serious renovations and changes. There was spider web on the room walls and in the breakfast area; broken plastic parts on the radiator, ants in the bathroom, coffee but no kettle in the room; the elevators made me feel a bit unsafe. Also, at breakfast, some mugs had their rims dirty… but they were placed on the tray as if they were ready to be used.

I did had a special room, with top bed, clean and well organized. Good location, very close to the city center.

Noise, as the room was at the street. And was noisy.

1. staff - 0 training2. room was flooded - employee left attic window open during storm, once we arrived room was soaked wet (carpet, chair, desk, bed)3. Announced reception and feedback was - we will try to send someone to check, we have no other room available (turned out the room was unhabitable and managed to find a room to change).
