Holiday Inn Osnabruck By IHG

Beautiful property, nicely decorated for holidays. Comfy bed, good lighting options. The reception staff are professional and friendly.

The door to the room made a loud vibrating sound whenever someone else closed their door on that floor. It kept waking us up since 6am. Also, some hotel staff came into our room around 9am. They knocked but entered immediately without giving us a chance to respond. The overall experience with the bumping door and someone entering the room made me feel uneasy in the hotel.

Beautiful! The pics don’t do it justice. Wonderful public spaces, a really delicious breakfast and I enjoyed my bar snack and drink. Beautiful rooms. Parking garage spotless and easy.

Good location with public transport nearby and city center easily reachable by walking. The breakfast is delicious and super complete. Staff is nice and very kind with pets - they gave treats and water to my pet at the bar.

Since there's a hospital nearby, sometimes you can hear ambulances passing by. And, you can hear people shutting their rooms' doors.

Loved the suite, the terrace was niceGood breakfastPet friendly indeed

Rooms are modern, clean and the hotel has a parking garage with charging stations for electric cars type 2.

Not applicable. Everything was very good

Location great, Clean neat hotel nice staff

Great experience, everything went well. The room was even bigger than expected. We had issues with our card but the reception helped us a lot!

Very modern, very kind staff, beautiful room

Very nice hotel in a convened location to the station. It’s a bit of a walk to the city centre, but easily done. The staff was very efficient and friendly. Nice bar.

Hotel workers were very friendly and room was very good. Advise to stay room 335

I enjoyed the location, it was nice to be in the city centre. Also having a bathtub for once is quite enjoyable, the staff was also very friendly and nice to have around!

Nothing in particular to dislike here.

the location is good, close to the center, the rooms are not big,but cozy. Nice Christmas atmosphere)

For such a big hotel the spa area is very small. After 22:00 you couldn't even buy champagne in the bar, and that was on December 31st! The restaurant was also closed... that ruined our mood.just sit in the room and order delivery... boring (

The hotel is located only a couple of blocks from the central station. The city center is about a 10-15 minute walk. The room was a bit dark for my taste. The bathroom was tiny, but had everything one needed. Breakfast was fine and the service good.

Can’t criticize anything in particular. My room had an ironing board, but no iron. But since I didn’t need to iron anything, it wasn’t an issue. I am sure the front desk could have provided one!

Unlike being a reasonable large hotel they manage to keep the atmosphere very cosy and friendly

The climate control makes it very hot and dry inside

It’s the nicest hotel I’ve lately been to! Cozy, quality, cleanliness, great food and extremely helpful staff, this HolidayInn has it all! It’s really close to the central train station & city center.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Food was exceptionally bad. Great location if you need to be near the bahnhof, just plan to eat somewhere else.

perfect place to stop in Osnabruck, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and parking on site, easy to reach from A1 highway

Comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Super patio fitout

What a surprise, I thought this would just be a standard hotel on our drive in Europe, but such a nice hotel, great staff, very clean, and modern.

All wax good to be honest. Bar and food good value.

This hotel is modern and beautiful, with spacious, tastefully decorated rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, with ample choice of dishes and good coffee.Staff is friendly and professional.

Unfortunately, these positives don’t outweigh the one big negative, which is EXTREMELY. LOUD. MUSIC playing ALL. NIGHT. LONG.Apparently there is a night club located right next to the hotel (or possibly inside the hotel, in all honesty it felt as though our rooms were located inside the night club). We spent the night at this hotel on a friday night, and couldn’t sleep due to the loud bass sounds thumping through the walls.I think sound proofing in general is an issue for this hotel, since when we finally did manage to get some sleep (somewhere between 4 and 5 am, when the night club presumably closed for the night), we were woken up around 7 by the sounds of people talking in the hallway and doors slamming shut. After reading through the reviews from other disgruntled guests, it would appear that this is a known issue for the hotel management.I can’t for the life of me understand why any self respecting hotel manager would put their customers through this. If you’re not dedicated to providing your guests with a good night’s sleep away from home, then why are you even in the hotel business?Upon checking out, the reception staff did waive half of the breakfast price and the parking garage fee to apologize for the inconvenience, which was a nice gesture.Still, we would’ve much preferred paying full price and getting a good night’s sleep in return.I’m sure some rooms and floors don’t suffer as much from the noise pollution as others and I imagine it would be perfectly fine to sleep here on a week night. During the weekend though, I cannot recommend this hotel at all.In conclusion, if you are hard of hearing, have a new pair of noise cancelling headphones you want to seriously put to the test, or simply enjoy dancing in your hotel room til the wee hours of the morning, you’ll have a great time at Holiday Inn Osnabrück.If, however, you prefer some peace and quiet to drift into blissful sleep, avoid this hotel like the plague.
