Hotel National Bern

The bathroom was very modern and well kept. The bed frame was sturdy. I did not like the picture of the mural as the headboard. I really enjoy The breakfast!! The fresh bread and juice!! It was delicious.

I did not feel like I could lean back on the bed. I was not able to have my second breakfast because I had to leave early, I wish they had at least fruit out. The table was kind of small to sit at with two people. My early check out was weird.

Location was wonderful, so close to city center and Bern Station. We mostly went out of the city so it worked out for us. The breakfast was nice to have something, considering we came on a holiday and most of the stores/restaurants were all closed

We knew booking the small twin beds with exterior bathroom would be small, but it was also incredibly stuffy we had to open the windows for ventilation even in cold weather. Nice for the winter to make it cozy, but I cannot imagine it in the warmer months. One vintage elevator and it was beautiful, but did take quite a bit of time to call. Overall it was still very nice and we mad it work for a younger, couple who was always out and about.

Great location. Staff friendly & helpful. Allowed us to store luggage on check out day until late afternoon so we could go on day trip to Interlaken. Was on 5th floor. Excellent spacious room & very quiet

exceptional location! Just a 5 minute walk from Bern's main train station and Old Town. The interior is fun with a mix of historic (has a vintage elevator) and modern touches. The staff was very friendly and provided us a map with recommendations of what to see in Bern. The complimentary continental breakfast had a variety of options.

overall everything was great value for money, our room was a bit small and bathroom was across the hall.

Nothing- very quiet if your concerned about hearing others but it was quiet everyone was considerate of that and it was peaceful

Close to the train station, easy to get to, close to the old town, close to trams and buses and trains. It was a good location.

There was a big step down to get into the room and the sign was only in French. And maybe it could also be in English.

Excellent location, in central square. Nice and clean bedrooms, and nice breakfast. Hotel is located near all amenities and sightseeings.

Actually the beds were little bit uncomfortable.

Couldn’t figure out how to use the elevator on arrival, so carried our bags up one flight.

Breakfast was good. We could fix what we wanted, slice our own bread, brew our own coffee, and there were plenty of selections. We had some very good help from the front desk about what to see and do. Ana Pereira went above and beyond our expectations by reserving us a table at a restaurant. We had a lovely evening. They were very kind to keep our luggage in a safe place while we spent some time at a museum.We loved our balcony although it was too cold to sit out there. We did step out and take some pictures.The bathroom was exceptionally nice. Love the shower and the big sink.The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean and neat.

Our only problem was how to fit into the small room with our suitcases. We managed, but it was tight.

I liked the hotel's proximity to the train station, whether by foot or via public transportation, and its central location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as well.

It was a bit stuffy in the room.

Nothing but if you want an air conditioned room be sure to ask first.

Location is perfect

Single room is very small, but to compare to other hotels nearby, its way cheaper and comfortable, than other ones.

A historic building with an elevator that could be a tourist attraction in its own right. The room was basic, and clean, but had every convenience, including hot tea and a hair drier. Anna at the front desk was especially patient and helpful. I appreciated her courteous professional manner; a wonderful ambassador for Bern.

There is a theatre next door which had a rock concert, but I am sure they must follow code as they ended precisely at 10:00 pm.

Very well located, very close to the old city. The breakfast was not varied, but it was very good for us. Spacious room. Convenient price (for Switzerland).

Hotel is in the nice old building in the city center. The staff was very nice.

I had a single room with a separate bath and toilet. So I walked between 3 separate rooms basically. It was quite annoying, taking into account that it was not stated clearly in the room description that it will be exactly 3 different spaces in one corridor. So I do not recommend this type of room! Or hotel needs to sell it at least with more clear description and fare price.The breakfast was also very small and barely enough for the real meal.

The location was perfect. Very close to the train station and right in the heart of the center. The receptionists were so kind and so lovely. The place was clean and the breakfast was good.
