About

Tenuta La Lupa is housed in a colonial mansion from the 18th century which enjoys a peaceful, green location just 10 minutes from the sea and 30 minutes from Livorno. In the recently renovated stone building you will find cozy, rustic rooms with sweeping sea and countryside views and in La Lupa’s tranquil grounds you can enjoy a panoramic swimming pool and a lovely garden with olive trees and vines where you can enjoy drinks and meals in summer. The nearest restaurant is within walking distance, about 2297 feet. Osteria Le Badie, you can reserve a table directly at the hotel. A wonderfully relaxing base for touring Tuscany, from here you can easily enjoy day trips to interesting towns such as Pisa, Lucca and Volterra or alternatively wine-lovers will have the chance to visit important vineyards and wine manufacturers at Bolghieri and Suvereto.

    Pros +

    • there was nothing to like about it.Especially the Manager is so greedy and unfriendly!!Dont go there!!Dont Support them!!
    • Very lovely, helpful owner, with lots of food choices for the continental breakfast, large rooms and good shower. Nice and secluded too.
    • Breakfast was good and had vegan options. However only sweet options available would have liked also savory alternatives, but overall good.

    Cons -

    • I got a severe food-poisoning from their food.My Partner got skin rashes from the disgusting uncleaned water in the pool, there was mold everywhere
    • Maybe the location is a bit in the middle of nowhere, and the room was up two flights of stairs, but it was stated so I wouldn't penalize the property for this.
    • Little bit small italian breakfast

Nice location, view over surrounding hills, free parking in the olive tree garden, good value for the price

    Little bit small italian breakfast

Beautiful, stylishly furnished room. Quiet air condition. Friendly, helpful owner (speaks English well) served us for breakfast with excellent cappuccino, orange juice, extremely good croissants, fruit, sweet. “Meat- salt” breakfast is a hard-boiled egg.

Beautiful location in the countryside. Very peaceful and not far from E80. Very clean & comfortable.

Superb landscape and location, very clean and with all the ammenities needed.

The hosts are lovely, the room was spacious and the location is nice

Unfortunately the pool was already closed for winter season although it was 24 degrees. The breakfast could have some more options

We loved the quiet location and great communication, as it was a last minute booking!

    8LindaPosted on: 9-12-2024

The Hotel was clean. The room was nice and spacious. The staff are very friendly. The swimming pool was great especially on a hot day and you want to cool down. .

    The beer was very expensive.

The hosts have been wonderful, you can really tell they care for their guests. Great location, just far enough into the country side, but just the right distance from Pisa city centre for a day trip to see the leaning tower of Pisa.

    10JuditPosted on: 7-3-2024

The location is quiet and beautiful, remote enough to feel tranquil, but close enough to very good restaurants and beaches.Splendid garden and landscape, delicious breakfast including croissants, eggs, home made marmalade, cappuccino from freshly ground coffee beans, friendly and helpful staff!

The breakfast was great! Host was friendly and helpful price was great

The air conditioning did not seem to work very well. In the top floor we melted at night

Lovely property and location. Our 1 night stay didn’t give us the chance to enjoy all its facilities, like the beautiful pool and sitting area, but the views from there were simply amazing. Rooms aren’t very spacious but they don’t lack storage. Breakfast, although not extra diverse, was good enough for us- we usually tend to eat little for breakfast. Host was very friendly and accommodating! Definitely a place we would recommend ??✅

Amazing!!, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, but this time, for the very first time, I take my hat. This place deserves a 6 star. In my world, i give as many stars that I want, period. the lovely couple(managers), the views, the service, the views, the distance from pisa or Florence, the views! Thank you!. Me and my wife left, only wishing we could stay forever!.

    9TraciPosted on: 5-15-2024

The hospitality was amazing. The owner was very kind and helpful. They provide a large breakfast and delicious coffee drinks!

The beds weren’t very comfortable and they could use some new pillows but we enjoyed the stay anyway!

    10DerekPosted on: 5-1-2024

Clean, comfortable cheap, good breakfast with plentiful, very good coffee. Friendly host. Near to Lovorno in query location.

Couldn't work the Aircon in the room.

    7JacquelinePosted on: 1-1-2024

Breakfast was excellent and breakfast staff were attentive. Great views from the room. Adequate for a one night stopover.

The room was very basic and bed was hard. There was no common area available, and no chairs or extra pillows were provided in the room to be able to comfortably relax.

    9NataschaPosted on: 9-21-2023

Beautiful stone and stucco buildings. Lovely breakfast room and filling breakfast. Comfortable bed and very clean room. Bathroom was nice but shower was very small. GPS was a little off but found the place easily. Pool and views were lovely. Good location just off the hwy for our trip from Rome to Cinque Terre. So peaceful and quiet here. Would stay again!

It was all great. It didn't bother us but no elevator for 3 floors and no fridge in our room for drinks.

    8DmitryPosted on: 9-15-2023

The only thing that I would not rate as "terrific" or "excellent" is breakfast. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Location is very good, etc, etc, etc.

    Breakfast could be improved.
