Great location in Reinbek

The hotel looks and feels a bit worn, probably had its heyday in the 1990´s

The staff was extremely helpful especially with a last minute unexpected late night booking. The breakfast buffet was great!

The rooms are quite dark and outdated. Especially disliked that one couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating for meals due to the liberal smoking policy. Smoking should definitely be discouraged around food.

It's a fine hotel. Rooms are good, breakfast is very good. It's clean with ample parking (but parking signs can ben hard to read).

Overall staff is very nice, but reception on arrival was "Berlin style". It was rude by someone that lacked any empathic skill. It was 21:30 and I was with my 13 year old daughter, otherwise I would have left. Other staff (during breakfast and checking out) were extremely friendly.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Very good shower. Friendly staff who dealt with an issue we had very promptly and efficiently. Excellent breakfast which can be taken in their indoor courtyard in warmer weather. Easy parking.

1st night we were given a lovely spacious room including a mini bar on the 5th floor. However this room was right next to their IT room and there was a humming noise throughout the night. They agreed to give us another room, this time on the 7th floor which was much smaller, had no minibar but at least we were away from their server room.All in all we will go back to this hotel when visiting Reinbek

It's very close to the S train station, about 5 minutes walk. We stayed here for a concert in Hamburg and it took us about 25 mins to go to Hamburg central station. The staff is nice, the facilities is sufficient and clean. Wifi is good.

At first, it is a bit difficult to find the door hotel if you search the hotel with google maps. If you use the google maps, you need to take the stair and go to the 2nd floor. The facilites look a bit old-styled. If you intend to go to Hamburg for a concert like I did, the last S train from Hamburg to the hotel is at 12:40 am, after that there will be no train until morning so be careful with it because we almost missed the last train.

The room is really well equiped.

The wall is quite thin. We could easily hear it from the room when people talk in the corridor.

Nice hotel in a nice suburb to Hamburg. Easy access from highway. Free parking with direct elevator access to hotell and rooms. Nice italian resturants close by which were opened even late Sunday, can recommend Il Posto 5 min walk.

Bring passport for check-in. Swedish driving licence not accepted as ID (works in all other countries I stayed).

Peaceful quiet location.

The mattress was too soft, not comfortable for our preference.

Breakfast was great with large selection and choices. Room was pretty big. Hotel is clean and staff is great. Easy parking down the hotel. Pet welcome

Bathroom was pretty small with door not totally opening wide due to toilet.

The Sachsenwald Hotel Reinbeck had a lovely, old-school feel about it and, having just stayed in a very modern hotel, we really appreciated the timeless timbre of the building and the genuine, friendly professionalism of the staff.

Lovely staff

Very small uncomfortable room. Definitely NOT 4 star as advertised

I liked how convenient the location to the hospital and local amenities was. The rooms were spacious enough and my room had a balcony. The room was warm and could be lit with lamps.

The service at reception depended on who was working. Some staff members were helpful, but one treated me like my question was an unwelcome distraction to her current task, although I was polite and willing to wait until she was ready.

Hotel is perfectly central to Reinbek and lovely place to stay

Everything people in and out of the hotel are very friendly

nice place, not fancy but value for money. I have been there a few times, so we know the staff and surroundings. I really like the covered indoor/ outdoor place in front of the hotel. there are also some nice restaurants (Chinese/ Greek/ Italian) in walking distance. I would recommend that place in particular for families with small kids as these can play outside without being exposed to traffic.

Large and really well-maintained rooms, nice balcony with good views, friendly staff, close to the train station, great value for money!

wifi could be better

Cleanliness, good and long enough opened breakfast buffet. Free parking space in underground garage below hotel with more than enough parking spaces. Entrance from garage to hotel convenient and easy

WiFi could be faster. Due to the older architecture of the building, complicated entrance to hotel by foot.

My stay was accommodation only. Central location was ideal being only a short walk from the train station. Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Perhaps the decoration could be brought more up to date. The wood panelling was very dark.

I liked everything. Polite and professional stuff. Nice location and beautiful room. The breakfast great.
