Everything, and the free shuttle from hotel to the station was really nice surprise!

Walking with luggages there is a bit long from the nearest bus stop.

The quiet location on the lake was just what we needed after several hectic days of travel.

Ongoing renovations prevented them from having a little store for necessary or forgotten items.

Lake front location. Walking paths. Restaurant and the staff. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Front desk personnel also very kind and helpful.

The renovation seems to have caused the hotel to not have a small store for waters, small needed items, etc.

Huge room, nice pool, modern and clean. Beautiful breakfast area with view on the garden.

Far from city centre. I didn't like the sound of the ventilation system at night.

The hotel's location is fabulous, right in front of a lake and nestled in a large park. The hotel itself is excellent, with a good restaurant and a lovely terrace to enjoy when the sun is out.

We experienced serious cleanliness issues in the family room we had during our two-week stay. Despite multiple requests, our room was not properly cleaned. For example, a chocolate stain on our children’s bed remained for several days before the sheets were finally changed. The vacuuming was only done after a week, and only following repeated complaints. We even found our bath towels placed on the toilet seat, which was quite shocking. When we raised these concerns, reception informed us that the cleaning service is outsourced and that they have no real control over it. This raises serious concerns about the hotel's quality management, especially if they cannot ensure basic cleanliness standards for an establishment of this level.To be fair, the front desk manager did her best to address these daily shortcomings.The lack of proper housekeeping is the only major downside of this hotel. We sincerely hope that this problem of room cleanliness will be resolved soon, because this hotel deserves better given its architecture and its incredible environment.

The hotel was modern and spacious, with comfortable rooms and good amenities. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The location was convenient with easy access to the city, yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay.

The bed was not clean on arrival, and it seemed the cleaning team needed to pay more attention to detail. This was disappointing and impacted the overall comfort of the stay.Some areas of the hotel felt a little dated compared to the rest, and the air conditioning could have been stronger during the hotter days. Parking was available but slightly limited at peak times.

Clean and well maintained facility. Rich breakfast. Restaurant overlooking the lake, great views. On site bike rental - super important in this bike-trails rich area.

A bit far from the center of Groningen but the bike ride along the canals is a great way to get there

Exceptional

We couldn't open the window. And it was super hot and steamy after we took a shower. I think the air-conditioning didn't worked.

The hotel is situated ideally, near the motorway and on a beautiful lake with great walking and cycling and bird watching opportunities. The room also has a kettle which is a great plus. Parking is ample and free of charge.

We have been to this hotel many times yet the reception never acknowledges, the hospitality factor is practically zero, this is a true corporate run facility. Also, there is no soap for handwashing in the bathroom, you need to lean into the shower for the soap if you wish to wash your hand properly. The pillows are simply horrible. Super low quality, you can practically see the pieces of sponge in little cubes in the pillow

The location is not far from supermarket and bus stop. Beside that, the location have a good view. The room is big and have 3 beds.

1. The cleaning staff forget to refill the tissue in the bathroom and forget to throw away the trash in the toilet.2. The water in the bathroom takes a long time to drain so I have to wait a while when taking a shower so that it doesn't flood.3. The cleaning staff didn't tidy up the bed, just covered it with a blanket so when I wanted to sleep, the bed was still messy. 4. There is no information how to contact reception or house keeping with telephone.

It is a perfect place if you travel to Groningen with your bike. It is 15 min from the city center and located in a very nice area surrounded by a beautiful lake. The hotel has restaurant, swimming pool and it is very comfortable.

The swimming pool area can be improved. Add towels and add towels and deck chairs. the water a little cold.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like but without car it's hardly accessible to any tourisom spots.

A beautiful hotel for both private and business visitors, with free parking available at all times. The surroundings is peaceful, green with lake and the staff is very helpful. The location is ideal, offering a swimming pool, and it serves as a great base for exploring the cultural city of Groningen and its surroundings. Don’t forget to visit Bourtange.Overall, I enjoy staying at Flonk Hotel, as it has a welcoming, home-like atmosphere.

Excellent value for money, big rooms, friendly staff and a pool for the kids.
