Perfect location

Quiet room, despite the Christmas market in front of the hotel. Free welcome drink too, very good location to see the city center

I was surprised about the comfort and beauty from the hotel.

The rooms are great. Staff very nice, polite and helpful.

Loved the cozy vibe! Very attentive staff. The bedding and towels were luxurious.

The building is enchanting, in particular the details. It's a very old building (and a very old hotel), which I was afraid was going to reflect poorly on the room, whereas I found the room to be quite nice, and the bathroom and the shower in particular were very new. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city centre.

Without the heating (almost) constantly on, the room could get quite cold, and the heater in the bathroom didn't seem to work. But since my room was small, it heated up quickly once I turned the heating on.

Be prepared to carry bags as to enter in the main entrance you need to climb few stairs. Same also for some rooms.

If you like to stay in historic hotels, you cannot go wrong with this place. It is right in the city center. A wide variety of options were available at the breakfast buffet. Overall, this was a very enjoyable weekend in Groningen. I would stay here again during my next visit.

The hotel was so pretty and decor was elegant and clean. Location couldn’t have been better on the Market square.The staff were exceptional and went out of their way in helping us with a crisis situation while we were there.

There was nothing that we were disappointed in. Everything more than met our expectations.

I particularly liked the location right on the main square but also very quiet. The common room was really cozy with a very intimate feeling, due to the furniture, the big library and the painting.

Nothing important, but I do not like showers without the hand telephone.

The location is the best location ever! Exactly in the heart of the city. In a lively area. The style is interesting -old fashion styled.

The room was a bit tight. The ironer worked but there was a small leak ( it was manageable ) no light in the shower area

The bathrooms were large with a walk in shower. The location was right in city center. We did not hear any city noise at all.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect—close to everything yet quiet and relaxing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. What really made the experience stand out was the staff—every single person was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Highly recommend!
