Hotel Baslertor

Reception was very professional and helpful. The room was spacious.

Breakfast is kinda confusing. The hotel shares Breakfast area with a restaurant. So there are certain items you can have for breakfast and if you want more options you have to pay for those.

The room was spacious and clean, with Basel city center conveniently accessible from the hotel via tram 14.

The attitude of the staff was disappointing. The coffee machine in the room was tricky to use, and when I asked the receptionist for assistance and extra coffee pods, he told me they didn’t have any and suggested I get coffee from the bakery next door. He also implied that I didn’t know how to use the machine, which came across as dismissive rather than helpful. Overall, I expected more accommodating service from the hotel.

Perfectly located for a music festival we were attending.

Nothing to dislike. It was perfect for our needs; it is more of a business hotel than a leisure hotel so there wasn't an evening bar but it was perfect for us and what we needed

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious. I especially loved the shower. The proximity to public transport was very helpful, especially since it was my first time in Basel. Hope to be back in the future.

The room was very warm, and didn't seem to cool down even with the window open all night (in February...) The carpet in the main staircase is a little bit eye-watering. But both are minor niggles and personal preferences. Will definitely stay here, when I'm in Basel again.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood Muttenz. We stayed for three days. Hotel is just two minutes away is the station for tram 14, which takes you to the center for about 15-20 minutes. Near the hotel there is a supermarket, several fast foods and a bakery.

The check-in was first-rate, as was the check out and every greeting in-between. The team were very friendly and gave us our free travel tickets without having to ask for them. (If you don't know, you get free local travel on buses, trams, and trains for the duration of your Swiss visi when stayingin a hotel)The room was very spacious, and the outlook was nice and leafy. The hotel was quiet and felt very clean and well presented. It was a great find, and the location afforded us some great travel opportunities. (Side note, oh my goodness, the non local trains expensive!!!)The desk team gave us some great directions and told us about places to visit. Parking was super cheap and the cheapest I found in all the hotels I looked at. 13chf a day. The bathroom had a bath. It was a big space, and the bath was spacious also.It was an almost perfect little space to stay.

The room was well designed but a bit small. It was fine for a couple of nights though.

I have visited the Hotel Baslertor before - it lived up to expectations

The Baslertor is conveniently located in Muttenz, just outside Basel and is clean, comfortable and especially quiet. The bus stop to downtown Basel - 20 minutes - is just outside the door so, you can stay in a nice hotel with a great value and get to anywhere in the area. There is a Coop grocery store located next to the Baslertor.

Spacious and clean apartment (with a little kitchenette) with all amenities one needs. Perfect for a family with 2 small children. Hotel is on a busy street, but that is expected if you want to be so close to Basel and the neighboring towns. We did not have breakfast so can't rate that. Staff was very friendly.

The hotel is located at a quiet place, rooms are cozy and confortable, staff Is nice and the food Is great. The commodities are excellent.
