At the same time, the house is located away from through traffic, so despite its central location, you can enjoy a pleasantly quiet atmosphere right on the water. - We stayed an extra night at Haus Stehlings, unfortunately the apartment (Monschau Suite) we stayed at on the previous days was already taken for that extra night. The room switch went smooth with an easy key swap by the entrance. This room (Tuchmacherzimmer) was a lot smaller than the Monschau Suite, but more than fine for the night!The room was clean and the bed was as comfortable as the one in the Monschau Suite. The refrigerator was very convenient as we had some food and drinks to keep cold before our journey home. Johannes and his staff are always friendly and easy to reach by phone or whatsapp. We’ve stayed in Monschau numerous times and we can’t help but come back to Haus Stehlings! The sound of the river right next to Haus Stehlings and the monumental atmosphere of the apartment complex are amazing. 100% recommend!The pictures are views from the window before and after the snow ❄️

But Haus Stehlings and particularly Monschau Suite remain our favorite! We’ll be back for sure!

We booked the family apartment. It was extremely cosy, comfortable and warm, and typical of Monschau houses.The view from our window was breathtaking. We also had access to a small garden which was very nice for morning or afternoon coffees.It is also very close to the main square by foot.Our host was extremely attentive and called to make sure everything was okay. We also received a link to a page with all the recommendations of the area.I definitely recommend this accommodation.

The location, facilities, and hospitality were all outstanding. Before check-in, we received clear and detailed instructions, and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The coffee provided was truly delicious.We woke up to the beautiful sound of birdsong and enjoyed a happy morning with sunshine and a peaceful stream view right outside the window. We highly recommend this place!
Really nice place, directly in the old town center. Comfortable, clean, stylish. Host is communicative, you got all the information needed. Parking is at 5 minutes walk, because the city center is a no car zone.

Beautiful place with a wonderful view, which you will find on magnets. Very good contact with the owner, the location could not be better, a wonderful experience. The room was clean, the towels had a very fresh smell, the beds were comfortable although for a couple I would prefer one large one than two joined together. I recommend it to everyone because it is really worth it. Thank you very much for the cookies. It was a wonderful weekend. Best regards

We chose a spot at random on the map and came up with this town. Then we found this accommodation. What a town! A quaint, picture postcard town in the valley. And the accommodation is perfect for the town. You are on top of the river, looking out over the town. Just perfect. The rooms are clean and well equipped - everything you need.
The only thing for us - and it was our mistake - was that we didn't read the check-in instructions properly! Definitely no parking so pack light. But we used the nearby car park and we did not worry about leaving the car there at all.

View from the apartment is why I booked and also the location is fantastic. Very spacious and the apartment has all the modern amenities you need, whilst retaining examples of the old architecture. We stayed on a Sunday (for the lovely Christmas market) and Monday during December and whilst everything closed on Monday, the apartment is a lovely place to relax. It was also clean and warm (with enough heating in place for the cold winter). Lastly, just relaxing and looking out the window is just amazing.

Character filled, perfectly located and cosy room in an exceptional village. Perfectly located over the water, with views up and down the river, this stay was a highlight of out trip. Very basic kitchenette facilities, comfortable beds, a very clean and functional bathroom all in a very old half timbered building. We stayed in the iddle of winter, and the unit was very warm and cosy. The stairs are winding and, the floors are uneven - all part of the real character of this amazing old building.
A bit more room to use the kitchenette facilities would greatly assist.
