    Pros +

    • Good location, friendly owner, nice german breakfast. Minus was the wifi connection in the evening very instable and the early morning wake-up if you are in a room on the left side as the communal workers start their day early.
    • We stayed at the Eifelerhof Hotel in Monschau for one night, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The front desk lady was very nice and friendly. The hotel's location is fantastic — it’s centrally located and close to everything, making it incredibly convenient to explore the town. Whether you're in the mood for sightseeing or a casual stroll through the charming streets, everything is just a short walk away. The room was very clean, which we truly appreciated. It’s always a plus to have a comfortable, well-maintained space to relax in after a long day of exploring. We received free bottle of water in the room.Breakfast the next morning was satisfying, with a good selection of options to start the day.
    • Excellent location in the middle of Monschau

    Cons -

    • The bedroom was very clean but small for the price we paid. The bathroom was also very tidy and clean, but also a bit on the smaller side. If you're taller, it might feel a bit cramped, but it wasn’t a major issue for us. One thing we would like to suggest is improving the Wi-Fi connection, as it wasn’t very stable. Perhaps using a stronger Wifi provider or adding a few Wifi routers could make a difference.
    • Pressure in the shower was really low, and I personally found it a little bit overpriced.

Nice location in the old city. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Parking is not really an issue. There is a big parking just outside the old city. 7€ for 24 hours.

Average sized room with a nice bathroom. Fridge in room was a nice surprise.

Not much in the way of noise isolation. Can hear everything on the floor.

    8BarendPosted on: 3-23-2024

Situated in the centre of the city. The room was rather small but the bathroom was good. There was no parking place, but at the tourist office we could buy a ticket for the whole city for only 9 euro’s.

Staff were very helpful. The hotel is in the Alt Stad historic location. There are many shops and restaurants in the area. The bathroom was newly renovated.

The room was too small. The bathroom can accommodate one person at a time. Fortunately we are thin. A heavy and large person would've problem going to the bathroom and shower. There are no lifts at the hotel and breakfast is basic.

So nice hotel with great service, the room is cozy and clean, the owner Linh so nice Lady and Generous. We like everything and we will come back for sure ?

    10SarahPosted on: 10-19-2023

The bathroom was recently renovated, and there was a mirror in the room. The bed and pillows were very conformable. The breakfast is included in the price and has a bit of everything. They have a machine for coffee but you can order other drinks like hot chocolate. The owner is wonderful and attentive. She takes notice of little details like your prefered drink at breakfast. In the corridor, there is a water machine to make coffee or tea throughout the day and also fruit.A bottle of water is placed in the room every day.

The water in the shower turns scolding hot when it pleases, and it can be an unpleasant surprise.

Kind staff. Fair price-quality. Ideal location.

Smell or older house in the dining room and corridors. Bath room to small for tall people (although difficult to avoid in an older house), but apart from the small surface of the bath room, all modern facilities were present.

We enjoyed our stay in Eifelgebergte hotel. The. lady of the house was very kind. The breakfast was good.

The shower was not much water…

Warm plenty of hot water clean Breakfast quite adequate No social areas

No Lift so stair’s difficult Didn’t like the scaffolding outside and fire alarm went off at 6am one day with no explanation. It

Everything about the hotel was fine - the room was clean and comfortable, it was very quiet and had quite a large bathroom. Good breakfast and nice staff. Rather than physically checking-in, we got a code for a lockbox next to the front door, and our keys were inside.

There was a drinks/snacks machine in the hallway. One of the other guests tried it and it seemed not to be working. The breakfast room would have made a decent bar for drinks later in the day, but they weren't set up for that. One thing strikes us about Monschau as a travel destination - and this is no criticism of the hotel - all the restaurants seem to be struggling with severe staff shortages. They're running around like crazy to accommodate all the tourists, and having a hard time of it. Also, they are rather schnitzel-heavy.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has been recently renovated. 3-5 minutes walk from the city center. Good breakfast, what you can expect from a small family-hotel

None. However, it should be mentioned that bathrooms were very small, but you can't really expect more from an old historical building

    9CoraliePosted on: 12-28-2022

The very warm but discreet welcome, everything was very clean, the cosiness of the room, the first day and night I was the only person staying in the hotel, so I got a personalised breakfast. (and the breakfasts are nice, you get different cheeses and hams to choose from as well as fruits, eggs, yoghurts... )The wifi worked as expected, no surprises, what was said on here was what I got.

Nearly nothing, maybe the small bathrooms, but that's the peril of staying in an old historic house, modern conveniences have to fit into smaller spaces. But apart from the fact that it was a pretty tight space everything in there, was like new and very clean.

Excellent location, comfortable bed, nice staff.

It could use some interior upgrade, as it's a bit old fashioned, but regarding overall experience that's a detail.

the accomadation was adequate the location was perfect value for money , probably wont get anything cheaper.

The location was amazing and the room was very clean.

The walls are very thin, which is to be expected in an old house. The breakfast was okayish (Not as good as it is shown on some of the pictures).
