Pros +
- The hotel is well located in the centre of Kelkheim close to the supermarkets and railway station.
- Good location
- Didn’t book breakfast. Location was chosen for proximity to my daughter’s home.
Cons -
- The reception was never staffed, check in was via a lock box and there was no face to face assistance on check in. This is the opposite of what is stated online. We were in a party who had booked a considerable number of rooms and it is disappointing the owners could not have provided a staff member to meet and greet. The bathroom was fairly new but the rest of the room, although clean, was dated with mismatched length curtains and foam falling out underneath the chair. The beds were comfortable and linen was fresh though.
- Reception unmanned during the whole stay. Breakfast poor. No way to get problems with the room fixed, such as replacing light bulbs.
- No coffee making facilities, no mini bar, insufficient bedding, smelled of stale cigarettes, shabby and unclean bathroom, sauna not working, nobody on reception.

Cleanliness and pleasant location.
Reception was not manned at all. I had to check my booking.com messages to obtain instructions on obtaining the room key. There was what appeared to be a key return box at reception but it would have been helpful to be advised to use it. The breakfasts were over priced and I was glad of the cafe on the opposite side of the road.
Nobody on reception and no info in rooms
Lack of staff
There was no one on reception the whole time we were here. No info in the rooms
Warm welcome and information Somewhere to sit get a cup of coffee or soft drink
Bad
Poor breakfast, dirty room, a lot of dust, dirty bathroom, no one in reception
Terrible
During the three days of our stay, I did not see any of the staff. No one is getting in touch.Of the two paid breakfasts, only one was provided. The money has not been refunded. The room’s entrance door is broken. Entering and leaving the room is a real challenge.
Decent location, good public transport and shopping opportunities, restaurants and a bakery very close by. The only thing about the room that looked clean and modern was the shower, despite being quite claustrophobic (I'm already small so don't want to imagine someone slightly bigger trying to have a shower).
It was okay as a place to sleep near Frankfurt city but for the price I had expected something better. This is supposed to be a hotel, but I've been to youth hostels with a higher standard of cleanliness and service in other big cities.I spent 3 nights without opening a window because there were colonies of strange insects living in the windowframes. The room was still full of mosquitoes and spiders and god knows what else, I came home with so many bites. The previous guest's half empty toilet roll had been left in the bathroom with only one spare roll... And the mysterious red stains on the walls, the plastic bed sheets, and the bin bags in the hallway didn't exactly elevate my comfort. The lift only goes up to the 3rd floor (there are 4) and is so small that you can barely fit in with a suitcase. Who knows if the emergency button works because there's not even a display in there. The telephone/radio in the room looks like it's from the 60s (actually just been left there since the 60s, not retro/refurbished) so I didn't have much hope for the lift and preferred the stairs all the way.The fact that you have to find the hotel's phone number online and call them to even be let in was a bad sign already. They seemed surprised to have a guest, and several minutes later a woman in sports clothes came down to greet me in broken English (good thing I speak English... in Germany). She gave me a key and then left me to fend for myself. At checkout, no one even answered the phone anymore, so I threw my key in the box and left. Not having a reception is really inconvenient if you need things like spare toilet roll, towels, extra bin bags etc. or have questions. I wasn't made to feel welcome or like there was anyone I could talk to if I needed help.Although this may be my fault since I chose not to use the room service at all, due to a lack of trust in this establishment.I would choose another hotel if I were to go back here.
breakfast was booked and paid for upfront, however breakfast was closed, no refund yet up to today..... Service is poor!
communication and staff
The staff were great - helpful and friendly, and it's a very convenient location if you're visiting Kelkheim for medical treatment. Supermarket and restaurants just over the road.
There was no kettle in the room, we had to ask for one, no refreshments other than one bottle of water on arrival, so bring your own tea / coffee. Only one pillow each, again we had to ask for more. Sauna was falling apart! Construction going on while we were there.
quiet, inexpensive, very close to medical facilities good bathroom - shower hot and powerfull
single rooms on 4th floor with nice view but lift only to 3rd floor. no lounge to sit and read or wait for other guests to join for socialising.

Very friendly and helpful lady in the breakfast room. They had a gluten free option ready as requested. The hotel is very clean.
The room for 3 people was very small on the top floor with a low roof. Not as the picture in the description. They should put pictures of those rooms too for 3 people. It is misleading therefore we were disappointed. It was uncomfortable with hardly any space. Also, on arrival they charged 30€ extra for the dog for the stay. Which we understand but, the rude way it was communicated by the lady at the reception put us off.
It's in the center, easy parking (paid).
Single bed, against a wall. Expensive Parking. No breakfast. No coffee in the room.
This hotel was a perfect home base for visiting my family. The accommodations where larger than expected overlooking the town square. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was exceptionally friendly.
Staff - friendly and nice people Location is good, shops around
Car park not available (for foreign cars) even if you wanna pay extra I had to leave very early in the morning

It was clean and had a very friendly and helpful staff.
My room was facing the street and the level of noise was unbelievable.Traffic, people yelling in the streets until 4 AM, I barely got any sleep all 3 nights. It was hot, no A/C which made it very uncomfortable and leaving the window open due to the noise was not an option.
