Pros +
- Location was nice and quiet, room was spacious.
- Big bed, nice room, nice shower, calm, warm.
- Lots of space, there was a lift, great bed.
Cons -
- I was disappointed by the general atmosphere I encountered after entering the gorgeous historic facade. I hoped for a tasteful interior honouring the architectural and historic charm, but found it felt very generic and mediocre upon entering. I found the label 'Boutique' misleading in that sense.
- Our only complaint would be that we disturbed by other guests waiting for the lift and using the stairs. Their chatter could be heard loudly in our room.
- Wifi internet was very poor.

Big bed, nice room, nice shower, calm, warm.

It was a lovely hotel and the room was lovely.

In center and nice room. Good breakfast at additional cost at nearby hotel.
Great location, nice and quiet room.
Wifi internet was very poor.
It was a nice large room with a small terrace and two chairs inside. The bed was comfortable. The location was pretty and close to the train station and ferry terminal, but the ad implies you have a view from the room, which we did not.
It is not really a hotel, just a house divided into bedrooms. You have to go down the road to check in, get breakfast, bar, restaurant, terrace and so on. It wasn't the hotel's fault but almost nothing was open while we were there making it very difficult to eat, especially when vegetarian choices are so few and far between in any case. I think it would be a lot nicer later in the year. The room had the common problem of no dressing table in the bedroom, nor even a mirror near a socket. I do not want to have to compete for space in the bathroom, nor stand up, to do my hair and make-up. The hairdryer provided was useless as it gave out hardly any air and my arms and back were very tired before my hair was dry (and it is very short!).There wasn't enough storage space, only a few hangers and an open shelf. It was hard to get the temperature right as the radiators seemed to be either blazing away or off. There was no noise from outside but a lot from other people in the hotel... going up and down the stairs, or in the lift, or slamming doors, or stomping about above our heads and we could hear what the people above were saying through the bathroom vent.
very quaint. excellent location. close to train, ferry, canal view, restaurants.
Beautiful room lovely big windows looking out onto the canal
Ideally situated in the centre of the town.Clean and modern.
The location and the view of the channel were great at this place. For the check in and check out, everything was super easy. The room has great space and is very comfortable.
I believe that the price is a bit excessive. the place looks very nice and it has the things you need, but still, for a city the size of Harlingen, it is much.
The hotel is in a beautiful old building with wonderfully modern and upgraded rooms. The incredible location is central to every thing and I loved the fact that you can easily walk around to find what you want. I will stay here again! Just a note, to check in you have to walk just down the way to check in at another hotel, super easy and staff was really kind.
Good luck finding parking, took an hour of driving around before I found a spot; however, I did come during a festival that I was unaware of so that might have been a factor.
We stayed on the top floor in a room overlooking the canal and watched boats go in and out. I love this hotel. Its modern, clean and feels like you're staying in a piece of history with modern and unique touches. The town is easily walkable, breakfast can be in the hotel down the street or around the corner. If you're ever in the North, this spot is perfection.
A few suggestions for where to maybe have breakfast in the area.
Great bed and large bath
was a bit cold on arrival
Loved being in the centre of the town & very close to the boat for Terschelling. Very impressed with the interior design. Easy access to the room. Coming from Australia it was a treat to be in a beautiful Dutch house especially the front facade.
we stayed here four years ago and it’s an excellent location for a foodie weekend in Harlingen or exploring North Friesland and the Islands.
Very good location and beautiful building.
Not all rooms are the same, not possible to select which room you get. We ended up in a room without windows, while the pictures on Booking.com only show rooms with window-view on the canal.
Quite place. Center of the city.
Got a room with a view on the backyard. Although the other rooms had a view on the canal. Was a bit disappointed
Very nice and spacious room. Modern interior, very nice bathroom. Even with small veranda.
Breakfast was not included and a bit simple for the price.
Hotel well located and friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom was fantastic. Clean, big, well equipped and with an astonishing view on the canal.
Nothing to report.
