Pros +
- Ian and the rest of the staff were exceptional. Nemi is a fantastic village. The restaurant was first class with the biggest pizza I have ever seen.
- The location is great for visitors who want to be right in the historical part of Nemi, and Ian, the host, was exceptionally kind and helpful. He is also quite knowlegeable about local attractions and contacts for tour guides, etc. I love antique furniture, and the master bedroom was a treat! The bathroom was also stylish.
- The location was convenient to explore Nemi. The host was a great guy and very helpful. The room didn't have any good views, but that was fine since we were mostly looking to sleep after a long international flight. Room was clean and Wi-Fi worked well to help us figure out the next leg of our trip.
Cons -
- Only staying one night
- I suppose it could have been set up better for those who travel with the expectation of getting some work done, but there are plenty of places in Nemi where you can sit with a laptop and also enjoy lakeside views and a snack. The rooms were a little dark, but that has the benefit of keeping them cool, so it's an acceptable tradeoff.
- We did not realize that the location would be some distance from any actual parking. Not insurmountable but having jet lag and hauling two tired kids and luggage made it a bit of a task. There are some steep stairs down into the room. At night a lot of noise from the street filtered into the room and someone above us had a dog who was constantly running back and forth.

Very accommodating staff, nice room, very good restaurant.
Big rooms, clean and in a central location. Very communicative and kind host.Quick responses and help whenever we had a question or some need, like a taxi that he helped to book for our departure day.
Good room and location, fantastic friendly host
Unfortunately VERY noisy building work everyday from early morning to late afternoon
Cute suite for our family, located right in the center and close to everything. The owner was incredibly helpful when we had a problem with our car.
The beds could be a little more comfortable.
Amazing view, apartments and staff.
The property is at the heart of the ancient little town of Nemi, with astonishing views of Lago di Nemi. Our host and his wife were very charming and helpful, and their restaurant serves delicious food.
Beautiful very clean room. Nemi is a beautiful, beautiful little village with a stunning view over the little pond below.
Nice big rooms. Comfortable beds. The cleaning was spotless (exept for the tothbrush mug and soap cup).
Ian was the perfect host, he kept in good contact before arrival, was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The apartment was perfect, central and spacious. Having the restaurant attached was an added bonus. I’ll most certainly return.
special place, that is built as a part of the mountain (you can see exposed stones in the bathroom!!)Hosts were very nice and locatopn is excellent
Wonderful location overlooking the sunken crater. Being able to secure my bike in the garage. The owners have a great restaurant, Essential you have a meal here - just wonderful and a great welcome after a long days travel.
Having to leave early and only having one night to stay
The room seemed to be a converted apartment. There was a lot of space, a separate bedroom with a lake view, a living room area with a comfy couch, and the location was on top of everything happening in Nemi for la sagra delle fragole!
There was nothing I didn't like.
We were given a newly finished apartment, which was absolutely gorgeous, with everything you could need, plus a beautiful view of Lago di Nemi. We arrived very late because of a flight diversion, but our host met us with a big smile at 1am! The cold platter of bread, cheese and cold meats plus the bottle of Puglian Primitivo were so generously prepared. Ian and his lovely wife turned what was a traumatic exhausting day into a relaxing success!
That we only stayed one night….
The place is quite beautiful and clean, good location and nice people. It is well furniture and nice
I can say nothing
The room was so beatiful! Located in the breathtaking village of Nemi, everything is located right outside your door. The interior of the room was spacious and comfy, having an authentic, vintage Italian decoration and color palette which was delightful! Typically clean and tidy, everything you'd ask for for a couple of days exploring Nemi and the magnificent Castelli Romani.
Clean, new, mattress and the lady was very friendly
The smell in the corridor leading to the apartment. No view. no option to prepare your own coffee
Everything was clean and cozy! the fragola pie we ate in the cafe/restaurant was delicious…
we had a little trouble sleeping of noises from the neighborhood. , it wasn’t from garbage collectors etc…
