Hotel Abat Cisneros Montserrat

Breakfast was good and I was able to enjoy it.

The room was too hot and there was no fan. It was not air conditioned.

Stunning location. Comfy beds. Simple room. Lovely bathroom. Glorious views. Very quiet except for church bells (which I loved but might disrupt sleep for some). Excellent breakfast.

Hotel restaurant (at dinner, which we purchased separately) wasn't great (though included breakfast was perfect).

Location of the hostel was fantastic! We had an amazing view overlooking the square and entrance to the basilica. Generally staff were friendly and accommodating.

Dinner in restaurant was over-priced; food served much too quickly between courses; staff in restaurant were not knowledgeable about menu and were poorly trained on service. Coffee at breakfast was horrible, non drinkable; soundproofing between rooms was poor; the decor could use some upgrading.

Super fantastics location, view and the breakfast is also very yummy :) With the location - you will be the first one who can enjoy the places ??All staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful ?

Beautiful location! Definitely choose a room with a view of the square and the cathedral — it’s absolutely worth it. Wonderful dinner and an amazing experience of peaceful seclusion within the monastery walls. Highly recommended

Loved the location and small village and closeness to everything.

No shower soap or shampoo etc.

Everything! Was so nice to see the sunrise looking down on clouds in the morning with no other tourists. So peaceful

The location is excellent as it is close to the Basilica. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The coffee at breakfast was weak and could be improved.

This was a very nice hotel that served both a delicious buffet breakfast and a wonderful dinner along with tickets to the Cathedral. Great location.. It was next door to the Cathedral, in the evening when the bus loads of people left, it was so peaceful!! The choir boys sing at night too, we were able to enjoy them with a small audience.. Beautiful mountains and trails. Worth every penny!

Better information on parking options for our car before coming. We had a hard time figuring out where we could park our car. After finally getting there their staff was very helpful. Parking was very cheap.

The location is fantastic as it’s right in front of the Monastery. Beds were good and the view from our window was wonderful. Our breakfast was included and it was very good.

You can not leave your car near hotel. You can only stop in front for a short time to drop off your luggage. Parking is very far from the hotel and the walk back is all uphill. The bathroom is what really needs an upgrade. The shower is the tiniest shower I’ve ever seen and there is no place to set anything. Last I have stayed in many houses and have never had to pay for them to store my luggage the next day when we went to visit the monastery. It was only €1,72 @nd it’s a small amount, but as a customer there I find it ridiculous..

Location was fantastic

Hotel wifi isn't accessible in most of the rooms, just the hotel center. Even then I had network issues. The church next door starts ringing bells at 5:45am which were loud and long. Parking was confusing. If you can't carry your luggage to the hotel you have to park outside the area, check in to the hotel, go back to your car, drive to the hotel, show the security your hotel receipt to get there, drop off your luggage, then drive your car back to public parking.

Location was everything

Restaurant on site. Breakfast included. Access to cathedral. Near the art museum.

You cannot beat the location. The silence in the AM and evening after the obnoxious selfie taking tourist crowd leaves is unbeatable

The Cathedral was less than 5 min away and it was very convenient to go for early morning prayers/Mass. Staying at the hotel gives you free access to hear the Escolania Choir, and earlier access to see the Black Madonna. Half board made it convenient and sufficient options for dinner and breakfast.

Parking was difficult to find. Drop off of luggage not convenient and have to lug up the steep slope (though we found out later that we could have driven up the narrow slope which looked like a pedestrian walkway for drop off and then park the car). Underground parking was at full rate. We could not find parking in the open carpark which has a subsized rate.Both furniculars were closed as there was landslide a few days due to heavy rains before we arrived.

what is great- you are in the actual montserrat village area- steps away from the black madonnastaying here gives you free access to the bascilica and black madonna (throne of our lady) so do not book and pay for tickets! you only have to pay for museum and boys choir if you want to visit those. the dining room (abat cisernos) was VERY vegan/vegetarian friendly with a separate vege menu- i really appreciated it. i had a huge amazing salad and tofu teriyaki and it was really good

the rooms are blah- my room looked at the rock mountain but it had wires all over it. there was a weird frequency sound outside my room all night that was hard for sleep. but because of location, great food in restaurant and free access to montserrat bascilica and black madonna- it is worth it if you can request a better room (ideally one front facing not back towards the mountain). breakfast was not good- i skipped it

Great room location overlooking the Plaza and the Mountains. Excellent Breakfast and Supper.

Parking a rental car is difficult. Arrived on a Saturday and there is no reserved parking for Hotel guests. The Parking Garage was Full and finding a space was challenging.

The property is located right beside the basilica and is so handy to be able to pop into your room if you want to take a break in the middle of sightseeing or after a hike. The room was spacious, comfortable beds and 2 comfortable chairs and a large bathroom. Perfect. The restaurant downstairs is superb ( a bit on the pricey side but totally delicious).

Close to the monastery and the mountain

It is fine when we open the window at night to feel the breeze, but in the day time it is hot inside without AC.

No AC. Food offerings were not great.

The hotel is literally across the street from the basilica. The hotel provides an admission ticket to tour the Basilica.

The parking in Montserrat is insane! We needed to drop off our luggage then go down to find street parking. Fortunately it was late in the afternoon so most of the tourists had left.
