Great location especially if you are with dogs. Forest across the street.
Could use a refurbishment.
It was very clean and everyone was super friendly
Check in was very late.
The style an location
Low maintenance, needs an upgrade rooms have no isolation ( knowing this the staff could have switched on the heating prior to arrival, crazy rate breakfast, limited parking, very noisy ( not soundproof)

Breakfast, although good products, it lacks variation
Very friendly staff. Very nice hotel in an old but beautifully maintained setting. very beautiful environment. The room was very big and comfortable.
A door on the bathroom would have been nice.
The location is nice the atmosphere is historic
The rooms are so much noise you can hear even people pooping voices from other room. Also they need to heat the rooms prearrival I wanted to jump in shower but the heater was off the room was freezing it heated eventually but I had to wait for that so couldnt shower.
The food and service at the restaurant was excellent, the atmosphere was very charming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi worked well with no snags. I wish I had taken advantage of the proximity to the forest trails as they seemed very inviting.
I stayed in a single room down a hallway with several other singles and the amount of noise from guests and housekeeping staff in all of these small rooms, so close together, was vexing, as were the effects on shower temperature and pressure in the mornings. I could not find a "do not disturb" sign to prevent housekeeping from keying into the room while I was napping during the day.I would have liked somewhat easier access to public transportation, but that's my fault for not investigating in advance.
Beautiful hotel, we were really surprised when we arrived. The photographs on booking.com do not do this hotel justice. The building is wonderful, and the reception hall has the most beautiful parquet flooring with a coat of arms. We stayed on floor 3, and our rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, bathroom was huge!
We didn't mind, but if you want to be close to shops the hotel is a little bit of a walk to the town.
it is a beautiful location, really next tot the mastbos. it was simple, clean and fine for a night. not too expensive. friendly staff. the building and the interior is not that modern, that can be a disappointment when you are used to a modern hotel.
my one-person-room was very small and dark, a terrible chair. not really pleasant to stay in your room when you have to do some work don't want to sit in the bar or so.
It felt a bit like the Pinewood Lodge from Twin Peaks. The atmosphere of the hotel is a bit stuck in the past, but that too makes it unique. Especially for the location you can find it in. The beds were comfortable and the shower provided instant hot water. The 3-course menu at dinner was limited but superb, very good Steak and Apfelstrüdel. Friendly hotel staff make it complete the picture.
The breakfast booked on for 17 EUR per day was rather limited and service felt a bit uncoordinated where it appeared that travelers in groups or traveling by two received faster service over solo travellers. Having to wait for 30min for a coffee was a bit much. In sheer contrast, the breakfast staffing was underwhelming compared to the very apt evening service staff at the restaurant.
Country Living - Historical building next to a beautiful forest. Loved staying in this authentic historical hotel with timber furniture, wallpaper, carpet and ornate curtains. My room overlooked the Mastbos forest and I had Sunday lunch at the nearby Boschwachter in't Mastbos. My budget stay was made possible from a late booking discount, walking from a nearby bus route and just paying for a coffee and my own choice rather than the full breakfast.
Would love self serve access to a kettle and herbal tea etc rather than room service.
The hotel is a cosey place, with a nice historical and traditional atmosphere, plus plenty of 'Brabantse gemoedelijkheid'.
1. There is ample parking space, but it is at the opposite side of the street, meaning that there is limited guarding & security.2. My room (single occupant) was rather small very much out of date. I assume that the other rooms are likewise. A traditional atmosphere in corridors and other facilities is nice and warm, but the room was far from today's modern standards.
Beautiful vintage hotel, standing like a white stucco palace at the edge of a forest. Heaps of old world charm inside, dark wood, chesterfields, spacious rooms, like stepping back in another time. Love that. Some of the fixtures, like the bathrooms for instance look a bit dated therefore, but everything is kept spotlessly clean and in working condition. Staff is super friendly and helpful, room was very quiet, dining room has beautiful decor and good food, though a tad pricey. Step outside in the morning and you smell the pines and forest air, walk straight into the forest, heaven! I was on a business trip, but could very well imagine coming back for a romantic weekend here.
Mattress could do with an upgrade. I would have liked coffee/tea facilities in the room, that would have made it perfect. But: Got a real good deal on this site, so no complaints whatsoever for this price.
Clean and located near a huge forest. Great to walk after a long day.
No tea/ coffee maker in the room.I asked twice for a kettle to make my own coffee but was not provided. The furniture is antique which is too delecate and taking up big space.
Nice quiet area, great dining. Ravioli was the best!
A bit dated but it is an old building
Beautul old hotel . It is near a beautiful forest. The servive at the fromt desk is very kind especially of Jamilla. Thank you Jamilla for your great service.
A historic hotel with real character and an great breakfast including scrambled eggs and the best yogurt of our trip. Great park next door for dogs and runners. Slept very well, (best sleep during our trip which included 7 hotels)
The hotel could use some refreshing.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern. The style of this hotel is old English which looks very nice. There's a large tv as well which you can move around your room to your liking. This hotel is located in a silent environment next to the woods. There's plenty of free parking space at the hotel and across the road.
The room needs cleaning, spider webs covered with dust hang on the chandelier and ceiling. The bathroom was not very well lit, it was the same color you would use to make your living room cozy. There's no air conditioning in the room nor is there a fridge/mini bar. But the windows can be opened which is good if you don't mind mosquitos and other bugs. The restaurant was just horrible, too expensive food and poor service. When I asked if they had a non-reserved table left for me to drink and eat something they looked at me like this place ain't a restaurant. I was the only one sitting inside and it took the staff 15 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink, that was after I called them over, otherwise they kept on mumbling and talking with each other. The cook doesn't know how to bake a medium rare steak either and the vegetables taste like they came out of the microwave.
