Misty Mountain Reserve

Misty Mountain is fabulous they even upgraded us to the honeymoon suite for a night. The staff are wonderful and incredibly attentive, the restaurant is exceptional with beautiful sunset views, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We truly loved our stay.

Everything! Deserves more than 10/10. This was our favorite accommodation during our 2 week stay around South Africa. I wish we could have stayed here longer. The views, staff, dinner, wild life.. all amazing

Nothing!!

The room facilities were great with comfortable bed, lovely view and bathroom towels soaps etc. The staff were warm and welcoming. Jairos, Sima and waitresses were friendly and accommodatingMonkeys playing on the roof at 6am was a new experience!Outside shower was fun!

we had a basin plumbing issue but was resolved immediatelythe quad bikes going past the tents can be noisy

Great slightly rustic accommodations near Storms River. Hospitable staff. Tour of Townships was a highlight.

Bathrooms needed some updating.

Misty Mountain Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Our room had a breathtaking view of the ocean - The picture online gives you an idea of it but it’s so much more beautiful when you’re there. The staff here is so friendly and accommodating. They are so interested in making sure your stay is perfect. They arranged for a massage for me. We had just arrived late in the afternoon; and they were able to provide an appointment. After 3 weeks of travel, I really needed a massage and was thrilled that they were able to accommodate my request! Nyasha provided an EXCELLENT Swedish massage. The young man who drove me to/from the appointment, Jairus, (massages were in a different building on the grounds) was a sweetheart; and we had a fun conversation. The dinner was excellent and breakfast the next morning outside was great. I was just so pleasantly surprised at the high level of service and beautiful facility. Our room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We truly wish we could’ve stayed here for a week and hope to return. We also went ziplining when we left. Highly recommend. It was a blast - a definite bucket list (we’re in our 60’s)

That we couldn’t stay longer!!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Nancy and the three young men in the bar area. The facilities were great and we enjoyed the spa (Michelle was brilliant) and a guided walk with a lovely friendly chap.

It would have been nice to have coffee and hot chocolate included outside of meal times ... Especially as you're in the middle of nowhere.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in such a beautiful location. Lovely rooms, good food and the friendliest staff. We had the best time.

The resort felt remote, and was a unique stay for us. A nice place to unwind. The cabins were cute, and the restaurant/bar cozy and the staff friendly.

Just a heads up, the road from the N2 was mostly unpaved and some of it was rough going. Not really a problem for our rental VW Polo, just something to be aware of

The property is in a beautiful location, isolated but not too hard to get to from the main road. Beautiful sea views in a tranquil area. I loved my stay here. There are trails to walk on the forest near the property and curious monkeys would show up in the morning to look at our chalet. Food in the restaurant was really good and I’ve also used the spa, which was amazing after a long flight. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Wish I had time to stay longer and hope to come back one day. Book without thinking twice.

The cocoon, hive and dome rooms are out of is world! Unbelievable imagination and creative talent. No place like this. It was my fourth visit, and I will certainly be back. I can’t wait to stay in a dome room.

It was all just so very perfect!

What an amazing find. We should have stayed longer! Who knew there was so much to do in Tsitsikamma? We sure didn't. and we will be back. We stayed in a very comfortable and luxurious tent. It can complete with a rain shower above a free standing ball and claw slipper bath. Amazing! The restuarant's food was amazing so good. and we made full use of the onsite spa with body massages, scrubs and manicures. It was such a treat.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was great and the room was lovely.

Wow! I was so impressed with Misty. Clean, beautiful rooms. The bathroom was my favorite!! Loved the tub and the decor. I would definitely return.

We had two occasions where we just asked for the metal grill (to cook on) and it took forever. The second time it took two hours for them to bring it.

Location and the stuff

They closes the restaurant last day without any notice, we were starving and there are no other food options in this area. Also pool not actually usable

The gravel road is not nice but when you get to the accommodation you forget about it.
