    Pros +

    • The breakfast was so nice!
    • Breakfeast at the sister hotel was very good, wide varity of food and aways refilled when empty.
    • Location, the attached French(-ish) restaurant and bar, very friendly and supportive staff

    Cons -

    • When I checked in there was no personnel. Often at other times there was noone at the reception. Asked for replacement of cups, but they werent brought up. Nobody explained where breakfast was and it felt like extra effort to reach someone by phone call.
    • I would like to have toothpaste and brush in room, also body lotion.
    • The rooms at the front (street side at the crossing) are a bit loud. We stayed for 7 nights and were able to switch to the back, which was much quiter.

The breakfast was excellent. Hotel was very clean and room really comfortable. 4min walk from the train station so very accessible to all locations

English breakfast tea would be nice in the room but a very minor inconvience all in all.

    Location, cleanliness

Practically no reception, no room service. Dim light room.

    Bed soft. Location.

Staff could not explain how to get to hotel with the car. When driving up to the beam.to park - no answer at first, them babbling I Dutch. I had to get out of the car and go in to the Golden Tulip and strongly urge the staff to letvus in before I could park. Checking in a joke, had to do most myself. Room cold when I finally got there. I booked a room with breakfast, when I arrived it was no included. Had to walk outdoors through cigarett smoke to reach breakfast. Staff didn't know how to handle the voucher. Time consuming check out.I give up. I will find somewhere else to stay next time I go to Leiden.

    Room modern and reasonably comfortable

Impersonal check in....a computer interface which didnt recognise my booking reference....not what is wanted when you arrive late and tired!Very limited facilities ....need to go to next door hotel for bar and breakfast

The location was great! And the room was very nice. Also we didn't hear any nose, it was great!Only the pillow was to big and hard. The breakfast was in the hotel near Vic and was lovely.

Very nice Location, relatively new facilities, not expensive.

No writing desk, which brings some inconvenience for a businesses trip.Sometimes, no staff is at the reception.

Very close to station, facilities were excellent and the staff really pleasant and helpful

walking from Golden Tulip to VIC in the rain

    Nice staff, nice rooms.

The walls were really thin and we could hear the next door neighbours sneeze and their TV the whole night until 3am.

Location was great close to the train and the staff were wonderful

    No negative

Great location, large room, comfy bed, lovely shower, helpful staff.

Close to a busy road so window kept closed

    Clean. Near the Leiden Centraal

Sink in the room, entrance directly to shower from corridor.

    9PierluigiPosted on: 10-23-2023

All very good. Nice hotel, close to the city and to the station. Very comfortable bed, big shower, coffee in the room...

Quite expensive nonetheless... and check-in a bit cumbersome.

    7PhedraPosted on: 10-19-2023

Easy to check in. Close to the train station and city center. Comfortable bed and nice shower.

Not enough light in the room.

    8DanielPosted on: 10-17-2023

The bar was very nice and the drinks were great, also room was very beautiful and clean.

The welcoming to the hotel was very poor. We booked a double bed room with breakfast in the morning but the receptionist told us she can only give us 2 single bed rooms without breakfast and wasnt trying to do anything about it. Her attitude towards us was very poor and the whole check in lasted too long. The receptionist needs to learn to talk to the customers which are checking in and should be more polite and friendly.

    9DilaraPosted on: 10-15-2023

It is a nice hotel for several nights stay, close to the center of the city and with very friendly staff.

There was nothing what i could think of.

    10NataliaPosted on: 10-14-2023

    location, funky design

Very hard and big pillow. I know pillows are very personal, yet my son did not like it either. Self check in was ok, yet when you come after a long flight, late at night, some more personal greeting would be better. Also, after the check out we had couple of hours to stroll around the city. we left bags at the locked storage at the hotel. When we came back nobody was at the desk and we had to call s local number, and our phones could not dial that, and the was no land line at the hotel to call the office. We had to ask a stranger to call hhe office. A bit awkward
