Hotel Mayflower

It is our hotel of choice.. It is very central approx 10mins walk from train stationWe stay there every year once or twice a year. We would definately reccomend.Staff our very friendly and helpful

The Location is great for its proximity to the train station and right in the center of Leiden.

All was nice, no issue with the property. The staff is friendly.

The room was nice and big. The beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect. A good value in a beautiful city.

The location of this hotel was excellent, close to the sights and to restaurants, and we had a great view over the square. It was lovely. The staff was friendly and in the other wing of the hotel was a rooftop garden which we enjoyed. the room had a fridge which was nice. They offer baggae storage and the staff was very nice.

The rooms are dated, espcially the bathrooms. There was some peeling paint in our bath, and the dim lighting was a but off putting. The stairs were typical of the Netherlands- narrow and steep, but one of the steps was broken which felt dangerous.

The location is excellent. walkable distant from Leiden Central. Very lively and vibrant surroundings.

Rooms 17-24 have a very tight and steep stairs, not easy if you have heavy luggage, and don’t expect any help with that!

Hotel placement is perfect. You can get to every Leiden location very easy.

You should have at least college degree to open fron door.Rooms do not have AC and when is hot you are doomed.The beds are very tiny (or I'm too fat)

Great location in the center, near the train station. No noise and a large bedroom/bed. Good value.

Great location, accommodating hosts spoke excellent English (as most Dutch do) and was able to organise a late check-in for us. Nice room with balcony and good facilities

We liked the location for both proximity to historical sites, canals, food outlets and train station.

It would be beneficial to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom and for the room to provide a box of tissues. The bathroom also could use some regrouting around the basin and taps maintained for dripping.

Location was good but noisy

Shower tap water was not working well and difficult to adjust. Bath was old and cracks and rust was noticeable. Black curtain isn't smart either as there are no lights above the bath so it gets a very dark shower experience. Bed matras was moving and gliding in the lower matras...very annoying

The location is perfect, can’t do better. My room was like a little suite with a grand view, spacious and very cozy. The coffee machine made very good coffee. It was super to have a small fridge. My friends stayed in a room that wasn’t as nice, but it had a balcony that we enjoyed, and a fridge as well.

Breakfast was fair.

The stair is narrow and steep. The water pressure seems a bit weak. The room is big but quite old.

The room was not clean and bathroom and shower were so old and not pleasant!

The location was good, the bed was comfortable.

The fridge was very loud during the night, the furniture had some damage and there were stains on the quilts. The bathroom had rust and soap stains and there was a hole in the towel.

Very outdated, needs maintenance and better cleaning. Stairs difficult for some.

Central location, walking distance from the train station, nice and clean rooms, friendly rates, helpful staff, terrace, absolutely value for the money.

I liked everything. It was perfect for me. Still, if you cannot carry your own baggage upstairs, maybe it is not the best place for you. :)

The location is excellent and the view out the window onto the courtyard square was wonderful. Close to food and canal boat tours. I appreciated all the extra cozy lights. And especially appreciated the hot water pot and tea!

The winding, small and numerous! steps for me were very difficult, dangerous, in fact. There are times when there’s no one to let you in. You must swipe your key after pushing a separate button. It wasn’t a problem for me because I asked for a demonstration but I met a woman “stuck” outside who couldn’t figure out the way to get in. No breakfast food on site but reception person said breakfast starts in May.
