IntercityHotel Leiden

The hotel is located very close to the main railway/bus station, excellent for people who have to travel to some institution.

In my room the table was placed between the window and only at day time was enough light to work with papers. At the evening I was able to work only with my laptop, siting in the armchair.

Location, breakfast, staff is very friendly and always willing to address your queries/requests

It would be nice to have a little fridge in the room available, particularly if you are staying for several weeks. Also the Irons are a bit dated so suggest replacement. I was not able to add my reward points for a two weeks stay since i had not booked directly with your hotel, which i found unfair

Barely anyone at the reception. Also, refuses to edit out invoices as they cannot edit invoices apparently after check out even though the invoice was named incorrectly after my husband versus me, who have made and paid for the invoice. They could have just checked my info on booking.com.

Hotel has all modern features however lacks basic things like kettle in the standardt room, only upgraded rooms have kettles. Layout of the standard room is too modern to my taste - bathroom separated from the room by matte glass wall plus curtain. While providing privacy, if washroom is used during night by one person, second person in the room gets woken up by the light through the glass and curtain. Breakfast is basic and quite expensive (17-19 euros) compared to other hotels in the area. Main advantage of this hotel is location right by the train station.

Enjoy the new modern hotel and central location. Able to walk to most places or hope on the public transit near by.

Clean, helpful staff, easy checkin and checkout, extremely close to central train station and the rest if the city.

We stayed her for eight nights. Most of the staff members we interacted with were exceptionally kind and personable.

Two problems we had will have us avoiding Intercity hotels from now on.First, the room thermostats only allow adjusting plus or minus 3°. We were uncomfortably cold.Second, because there were no kettles in the rooms, we asked for hot water at the bar, and were charged €3 for a cup of water. Not coffee, not tea, just hot water. The staff member was emberrassed and apologized over that charge.

The entrance area to the hotel felt a little sketchy but it’s off a busy street.

Great location - less than 5 mins from Leiden Centraal station, room was large, light and airy. Straightforward check-in

Only one pillow and no additional bedding - I was cold in the night and although the bed was comfortable I would have liked the option of an additional pillow and blanket.

The check-in staff were attentive and very helpful. The room was clean, and the location was good. Nothing exceptional, but that should not take away from the hotel. It's a fine place and I wouldn't have a reason not to stay again.

The bathroom shower area became very wet because of the design of the space. The bed comforter was too short, and I would have liked a second pillow. It's just my preference, so it's not a deal breaker. I had trouble finding the hotel because it was behind another building and down an alley. The sign is hard to see unless you are right on it. Felt kind of hidden.

Staff was very helpful giving suggestions for things to do and how to get around even in other nearby cities.

Air conditioning not quite cool enough but not their fault.

It was very clean and the staff was very warm and welcoming.

The whole thing with green energy was a bit unfortunate. There is no AC so if you don't like colder temperatures, you have to pack up some thick clothes. I was lucky I had my fleece with me and got to sleep in it through the night.

Walking distance from the tourist attractions and train station were great. And the room was spacious with comfortable bed and pillows.

WiFi wasn’t easily accessible.

This hotel has an excellent location as it is just nearby the central station. The rooms were large and very clean.

A few members of the customer service and cleaning staff were apathetic towards us. For example, we arrived late one night and couldn't open the door with our card. The person at reception saw us on the camera, but didn't open the door until we rang the bell two or three times. On another occasion, a member of the cleaning staff left their card in one of our rooms and kept knocking on our doors while we were sleeping or in the bathroom. We understand that it was an accident, but we would have appreciated it if they had been more patient and asked for the card back later.
