    Pros +

    • Amazing view and a wonderful balcony to enjoy it from. The breakfast balcony was also wonderful. The are around the hotel is one of the loveliest I've visited in Germany and it's close to a lot of interesting spots.
    • Beautifully situated hotel with a fantastic restaurant. Access is somewhat challenging as the last part of the journey is a winding, steep and narrow road. However, it's worth it.No cooked breakfast (other than boiled eggs), but there is an ample choice and the quality of food as well as drinks is very good.
    • Great location - lovely view from my roomAccepted my dogLovely viewsGood breakfast included

    Cons -

    • The mattresses and pillows could be much better.
    • Driving to the hotel on a dark autumn night.
    • Delays in check out - sometimes no-one about, and another time receptionist spent ages giving tourist advice to someone when they could have broken off to check two of us out in a couple of minutes, or got someone else to help.

Location was perfect with a great view of the river and town, and close to restaurants and vineyards on the hill behind the hotel. The staff guided us through the local businesses and wineries and encouraged us to return for the holiday markets. The hotel restaurant was perfect for both dinner and breakfast.

As if anyone can control the weather...Just had to bundle up

Its location right in the middle of the red wine vineyards! My dog was allowed to sleep in the room and taking him for a walk late at night and early morning too was DELIGHTFUL ! Breakfast was lovely.GREAT terrace with great views for dinner and breakfast. Loved the private balconies as well. Peaceful !

Location is amazing just on the Rotweinwanderweg also very close to the West Germany Government bunker. Facilities are also great and not busy, sauna and steam room was just for us. Room had view of the valley.

    Really hard to list anything.

Beautiful view from the valley sides covered with vines over the walled town of Ahrweiler. Helpful staff. Good restaurant with excellent wine list from wineries whose vines surround the hotel. Amazing terraced bedrooms with furniture to sit comfortably to enjoy the view and catch some sun

    Nothing it was perfect

The room was correct, but nothing special. The view is magnificent.

I booked this hotel for two reasons. The first one, is the spa facilities. It was closed. We had to wait more than one hour so they could turn it on. We had to go by that time. The opening hours are not on the website, nor informed at the desk. It's surely bad timing, but I wouldn't have booked this hotel if I knew their spa was closed. Secondly, I booked this hotel for its gastronomical restaurant which offer a 3 course meal for a decent price around 60 euros per person. We were celebrating my partners birthday, so even if we are young workers, we would have eaten there to celebrate. And when we wanted to book a table for the night, they informed us casually that it costed 150 euros per person. That is the price of one night in their cheapest room. Zero information on the website, nor at the desk. Dissapointed.

Scenic view from the hotel balcony and good beer

No restaurants and had to travel to the town to get evening meal, being partially disabled this was annoying

    8JudithPosted on: 10-17-2023

View - fabulous. Pillows - awful. Room refreshments- tea/coffee facilities available should be addedBreakfast - should be more interesting, better offer of cold meats & fish. Cooked breakfast menu more obvious.Staff were very helpful, especially Reception Staff, they were outstanding.

    Dreadful pillows.

Fabulous location overlooking the valley and the balcony room magical. Excellent helpful friendly staff in this family managed hotel. Good breakfast choice. Can't comment on the dinner as the restaurant is closed on a Tuesday (( Bed comfortable and ensuite good

As expected from the pictures, the views from the hotel are just incredible. Definitely recommend booking a room with a view but the restaurant terrace is also amazing! 10/10 romantic

The restaurant is pretentious which I suppose is a wanted effect, just not really something we were keen on. Having said that, the food was really good and I also did notice people were having food in the lobby so there might be less pretentious room service/lobby food options that we didn't explore but for our second evening we opted in for some food in town which was much more casual.

    10TimothyPosted on: 4-3-2023

The location and view from the hotel is absolutely superb! I had breakfast at the hotel which was excellent, good choice and well presented. My room had a balcony looking out over the town and what a view!!!! Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much bother if asked.

As I was travelling for work and on my own I didn't use the restaurant in the evening, I ate at the factory I was working at and also, the restaurant wasn't open on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday which was most of my week at the hotel.

    9ElenaPosted on: 11-26-2022

The Hotel is overlooking its town and it was a magnificent view, the room was superb and complete with amenities, and the staff was accommodating and always there when you need a hand ( they helped us to park ?). The breakfast was great, and while dining we have the luxury to enjoy the scenery. The total cost of our stay is reasonable

What we don't like was, it was a short stay, we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the scenery.

Great location with beautiful views of the valley and vineyards. Very helpful staff.

Limited dinner menu, good quality, small portions, had to order sides a la carte.
