Pros +
- City is under reconstruction obviously, good to see a lot of progress. The hotel section is still closed but the guest accomadation currently being used offers large rooms.
- The main hotel (and restaurant) building was still closed after the flood, but we stayed in the adjacent "Beethoven Haus". The owner was extremelely nice and accommodating. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and very calm. It's maybe 10 minutes on foot from the center, with nice views. Great quality for the price.
- The hotel was closed. You state that we were a no show but we arrived at 6 pm to find the hotel closed. Local residents confirmed that is usually the case at this time of year .It caused us quite a lot of anxiety. I would like an apology and an explanation of your unacceptable performance.
Cons -
- Ther was some early morning work being done, could have started after 07:00.
- There was no wifi. Possibly because the network has not been restored yet after the flood.
- The noisiest place I've stayed in outside UK, the road in front of the hotel is a main road, so you will have the feeling of having the bed you are sleeping in placed in the middle of the road, be aware. The room is nicet, but the big room windows are vintage style, there is only a single layer of glass, church like style , no escape from the traffic noise on the street outside.
