Grand Hotel Toplice - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Excellent location, the spa, pool and the breakfast are excellent!

The boat person stopped sending the boats out one hour before stated on the sign and as stated by the front desk staff

We are not overly picky and generally "don't sweat the small stuff". This hotel was described on line as one of the "Grand Luxury Hotels of the World" - this is not the case. The ONLY thing that gets 5* is the view. The rest does not deserve a rating.

We sat outside on the terrace to enjoy the few and a bite to eat. Forty minutes waiting for the check. After two other groups were disgusted with the service and just left without paying, we walked over to pay at the register for another 15. BEWARE!

Location and views.

We had a great balcony with a great view. I enjoyed swiming in the lake and the bar service. Breakfast was great and we coud park our car.

That it rained, but otherwise beautiful weather. I know that is something beyond your control, so there was not much I did not like.

The location on the lake is wonderful and the rooms were large and comfortable. The availability of row boats and the deck beside the lake were much appreciated.

Bed and pillows not very comfortable. We know it will be updated next year which will be good

Old Glory Hotel, being reburvished, will be again the BEST to choose. THE BEST breakfast ever, attention to each guest perfect. Even gave us a free 1 hour row boat. The view to Lake Bled perfect. Stay here please.

A little bit dated rooms but in process of renovations.

It was beautiful old and great location. Right on lake with magnificent views. Breakfast was amazing. Can’t say enough good about it.

Not one thing

Excellent hotel with an Excellent location and Excellent staff.They allowed us to check-in More than least 3 hours early …… which gave us such a lot of more time around the place……. In spite of which we still did not have time for the swimming pool …..spa …..sauna and all the other facilities.

Nothing……. We will be back….. hopefully with my family members.

The location of this charming old property is amazing. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. The spa was beautiful.

Despite the old world charm, the hallway carpets are in need of replacing. The showers as well.

Magnificent old-world hotel in spectacular location! So glad we chose to stay here at Lake Bled. Our view room with balcony was simply the best! We walked the path around the lake & up to the castle & enjoyed cafes along the way. Breakfast was sensational. Staff well trained.

Location and views from the hotel were excellent. Breakfast was good, but staff was overwhelmed at times.

Facilities are dated, squeaky floor and bed. Appliances are old. The first room that we were checking in was stinking with cigarettes' smoke. We had to tell staff that we were not planning "to get used to the odor" and they finally found another room.

Magnificent hotel. Room was on the small side, but very comfortable and had a terrace overlooking the lake with breathtaking views. Breakfast was amazing as well. Made to order dishes as well as large buffet with everything you could ever want for breakfast. Gluten free options as well. Staff was friendly and location was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Cramped room. Really nice hotel but showing its age with peeling paint and cracked shutters on balcony. Faded carpets in stairways. Rotting bottoms on bathroom doors. Shower setup much less than ideal in a tub with half glass and side faucets. Not having a lot to park in yourself is not really 5 star kind of level. Price is quite high any way you look at it. No weight room available yet so many unused parlors and 3 saunas? It most definitely needs to be improved. I stayed because Rick Steves said it was highly rated

The property is historic and right on the shore of the lake with a private swimming area and boathouse. There is also a cold thermal pool and spa facilities available to guests, as well as two restaurants.

While there was outdoor attended parking available onsite at a reasonable surcharge, it was not especially easy to figure out which spots were reserved for hotel guests.

Great location, Very professional and kind staff

It could definitely use some renovation.
