Completely renovated in June 2014, Hotel Ambiance in Zermatt offers free WiFi. Zermatt Train Station is a 10-minute walk away, and the Sunnegga Express funicular is only 1969 feet away. All rooms have an private bathroom and a cable TV. Most of them also feature a balcony. Some rooms offer unobstructed views of the Matterhorn.

- Their breakfast buffet is excellent, as is their dining room--with stunning view of the Matterhorn!--and all their other facilities (nice bar/lounges). We were not sure what other food services were available, although the host/chef is highly rated.
Cons -
- Our economy room turned out to be rather small for the two of us, although we HAD selected economy level. (Switzerland is expensive!) However, the rooms were clean, plus they have a designated room by the front entrance for all ski boots and equipment.
