Excelsior Hotel Timisoara

2 days before our stay, the hotel cancelled our reservation. They claimed there was a mistake with the price (which was indeed low). While this can happen, the booking was done two months prior. Why wouldn't they let us know in advance then?

Really nice location, quiet neighborhood, about a 15-minute walk to the city center. Hotel parking is available. The heating system is controlled by guests, which is a really nice solution. The room was spacious, clean, and pleasant, and nicely equipped. Helpful and friendly staff.

Everything was as described.

Location is good, close to tram direct line to city center. Breakfast was ok. Free private parking, EV charging available (charges apply).

The heater is pretty noisy, it was a bit cold in the bathroom.

The curtains do not stop the bright morning light. You will need a mask to cover your eyes of you want to sleep late

Clean, spacious room with a bathtub in the bathroom. A really descent two star hotel. Has it's own parking in the back, but you can also park in the street. Breakfast was also OK.

In the afternoon and during the night, air condition in my room (301) wasn't strong enough to cool the room down to a pleasent temp. And it wasn't a particularly hot day.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Location was excellent!!

They were updating the installations and I couldn't open the windows. But I bet it will be great once done.

The hotel is located in a quiet location about 15 minutes' walk from the city center. The rooms are spacious, clean, warm, with plenty of daylight and very comfortable beds. The hotel staff is pleasant and always there if you need anything. The breakfast is classic for this type of hotel and has everything you need. Parking provided within the hotel, which is a big advantage. We definitely highly recommend this accommodation for visiting Temisvar!

Everything was great, big room, big beds, clean, close to town center

The rooms are clean, the bathroom is spacious.

I traveled with my partner who uses a wheelchair and although there is a ramp it is very steep and slippery in the winter and there is a huge curb in front of the ramp, without assisstnace it is very difficult to use it independently. It is accessible inside. Breakfast very average, in the last hour of breakfast very few options remain. If you have a specific diet, it is not recommended.

The room size

Breakfast was disappointingm. We had to keep asking for food because there wasn't enouth of anything.

The rooms are very clean, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.

The location is not ideal. It’s far from the city center and also from any lively areas. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal was weak, and the beds were quite hard.

Food is very good, for this price is more than we expected. Room is nice and clean, employees are very kind.

Everything is very good, except outdoor highway for wheelchairs. It is very hard to get up on the platform because it's long and steep. Inside there is an elevator and it is ok.

Breakfast was not like shown in the pictures. It is served until 10 AM and when we got there at 9 AM, almost nothing was left and the staff did not add more at all so this was disappointing.
