Great location. Very good restaurant. Very friendly, helpful staff. Very nice room with great view.
Close to the Caminito and El kiosko hub. near the dam with option of water swimming, very pure water. The hotel was nice, very helpful staff, good restaurant in it and all quiet. Would go again.
The staff was super friendly and the room was comfortable. We hiked the caminito del Rey and they let us leave our luggage and car while we hiked. We had dinner in the restaurant the night before and it was lovely. The included breakfast the next morning was also good.
The building is older and a little dated but it adds to the charm.
Charm of building. Good breakfast.

Fantastic location. But you pay for it! B-grade rooms. Bar & restaurant closed on Sundays.
The hotel as other describe it - is 'rustic' - which translates to a bit dated. but the atmosphere is homey welcoming and warm, and the location is breath-taking in its beauty. When we arrived the gentleman who received us not only checked us in but also provide the full complement of information relevant to those coming to visit the Caminito Del Rey. It's true the mattress did seem a bit dated and perhaps the showers remnants from the 20th century but it is an out-of-the-way small hotel catering to hikers - i do not think that such amenities are top of mind for people wanting to hike in the area. the restaurant in the hotel was so forthcoming - with one of us being a vegetarian they went out of their way to accommodate special requests. I strongly and resoundingly recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel with helpful staff in a lovely location
Unfortunately they didn't serve dinner. Breakfast was quite basic
The location was superb; very close to the lake and the Caminito del Rey. Beautiful countryside. The bed was super comfy and the staff were all excellent. There was amply safe parking outside the hotel too.
Everything was good
Great location for Caminito del Rey. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had nice continental breakfast included and they provided gluten free bread as requested. We also enjoyed our evening meal in the hotel restaurant. We like our walks and hikes in the area so we will definitely return.
The only downside we found the mattress uncomfortable and might need to be replaced.
Ability to park motorbike well secured. The staff was very friendly to us.
The smell of the sewage even after leaving windows open.
The hotel is located about 8-10 minutes from the access tunnel towards Caminito del Rey which is the main reason people stay here. The breakfast was nice, nothing special, a few ham options, some butter/jam and bread, fruits, and orange juice. Not very diverse, but sufficient. Overall it was clean.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The room we've got had no direct natural light, having a single window towards the inside of the building. This can be ok if you arrive late in the evening and just leave the next day early morning, but otherwise not very pleasant. The facilities feel very dated.
It's a really good stay for one night if you want to go to the caminito del rey. You can walk to the tunnel entrance by foot (approx. 10 minutes)
The bathroom smell was aweful. There must be something wrong with the drainage system, smells like sewers.
The location is perfect when going on the Caminhada Del Rei hike. The person at reception was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the hike.
We didnt have any power in our room, as the card was not working. The fellow at reception fiddled with it, saying this is a recurring problem there. The power went out again later and was out all night and morning. We had to shower in the dark by flashlight and our phones were not charged for pictures on the hike. They refused to give us any sort of refund for the inconvenience and told booking.com that they had resolved the problem, which they had not done. The breakfast is not worth it. There was a lot of noise from people going up and down stairs and moving around. The room had a sewage smell in it and the beds were not comfortable.
Everything was perfectamenta as the spanish people says, amazing hotel, amazing people, amazing location, amazing food. In summary it is an amazing place with people that you feel you know them since long time, they explained everything in every details possible for the trip to the caminito del rey and would come back for sure to this hotel again in the future.
Everything was perfect
Very good and helpfull staf ( In two days I just meet with a one person but he was profesional)
Restoran didnt work, for diner must to go in other restoran 15 minutes. Brekfest was poor.
Easy walk from hotel to park entrance also home cooked food In restaurant delicious
Was a bit pricey for quite basic room
Location was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. Reception staff were excellent. We expected a 'rustic country inn' and that's exactly what it was. Dinner was slightly limited in options but the croquettes and pil-pil prawns were excellent. Very limited choice of wines however... As a rustic pension in this beautiful area I would not hesitate to recommend it.
The beds were not especially comfy and were adorned with old fashioned heavy blankets and fitted covers - no continental duvets to be found. Small details like lack of bottled water in the room or tea and coffee making facilities, with shower head over bath that had to be held in one hand as did not locate securely in holder, extractor fan not working and heating via electric radiators let the place down slightly, but then again - it was never set up as a 4 or 5 star experience.
