Hotel Avion - National Cultural Monument - ICONIC HOUSES ORG

We have visited vila Tugendhat and slept in the Iconic Avion Hotel - what a combo of wonderful funcionalism architecture! The hotel is located just in the city center, close to restaurants, bars,shops and other places of interest

we were happy with everything

Iconic functionalist hotel, great location, nice view from the roof terrace, tastefull breakfast.

It's a shame that the hotel doesn't operate the iconic historic reception and café areas, but you can visit them in morning hours. The wall in our room was thin, it was possible to hear neighbor´s sex and TV. You can't have complete privacy in the toilet because of the door.

Very good location. In the center of the city. Hotel was clean with friendly staff. Good breakfast.

No parking. 5min walk from the nearest parking lot. No corroboration with parking lot, and no discounts.

Terrible room. Booked a twin room and basically got a skinny passage of a room with head to head beds, (uncomfortable), open plan shower/toilet (shower leaked), and dismal inner courtyard view. No communal lounge area. It’s a shame that the refurbishment missed a fantastic opportunity to respect the original architecture - it’s been done on the cheap and feels like a hostel rather than a hotel.

Very clean rooms and a comfortable stay. The hotel is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and hardworking, especially the cleaning team who does an excellent job. You can really see the effort they put into their work. Highly recommended.

Great location, walkable distance to many attractions. Friendly staff, nice breakfast.

No privacy for the toilet and bathroom.

The room was superb - very clean, with a great view, beds were comfy and clean. The TV also has Netflix (requires a sign-in) which is a nice touch. Just as well, as I became very sick during my trip so spent lots of time in my hotel room. The staff even let us check out late at no additional fee which was very kind, and gave us a parting gift of some cookies and a thank you note, which was very sweet. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right by the Centre of Brno, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. When I return to Brno, I'll definitely stay at Hotel Avion again and hopefully see more of Brno this time!!

It's a pity there are no facilities like a spa or a gym/fitness suite, which is really handy, but it's not a deal breaker. I'd still come back here :)

It was a pleasure to stay in a real architectural gem. The location is top! Places to see are within short range by foot (Peter&Paul-Cathedral, Spilberk-Castle). Villa Tugendhat is half an hours walk away. The Hotel itself is located in the very Centre of Brno. What we appreciated most is the fact, that obe of the most famous beer-restaurants in Brno (Stopkova) is just a 150m from the Hotel. The House itself offers entry to the modernism-museum on 1st -3rd floor, which should bevisited by every person, that is interested in architecture. Especially in this distinct 1930s-building.

Sparkling Water on the breakfast-buffet would have been nice.

Central place . Nearby many Indian restaurants at walkable distance.

Very nice hotel, interesting old-style architecture, very centre of Brno, fantastic view from the terrace on top, great service, noble style.

Too hot in the room and the heating setting was locked, I had to keep the window open all night (end November)!

Great hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Check-in was easy, the amenities were excellent, and the location was perfect for getting around. I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Nicely renovated and unique, period building. The external bathroom for some units is special for a short stay to experience. Very good location. Access to the onsite museum and deck.

The hotel was very convenient for the the shops and sightseeing in Brno. Also very near where the trams stop if you want to use them. The room was pleasant and breakfast was pretty good too.

I wasn't too keen on the glass doors in the room but got used to it.

We had a very pleasant stay, the hotel has a very unique design, the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Also breakfast was great. The location is also amazing, all in all 10/10!

This hotel is an art historical monument and there is even a museum inside, we enjoyed its beatiful achitecture while staying there. The staffs were very friendly and gave us handmade cookies as presents!! Highly recommended.

The bathroom is right next to the bed with glass wall, a bit odd but that is the space constraint inside monument so probably no better solution here.
