About

Opened in June 2012, Maximus Resort features the Infinit Maximus Wellness and Spa Center with an aquatic and sauna world including massages, a swimming pool, a hot tub, a steam bath, Kneipp bath and an outdoor cooling pool, all available at a surcharge. Stylishly decorated, most units have a terrace or balcony with views of the surrounding landscape. Each room with attached bathroom comes with a flat-screen TV and a mini-bar. Some also have a seating area or a separate living room. The property contains only a 4-star area. A buffet breakfast is served each morning in Maximus Resort. The property’s restaurant serves international cuisine, and also has a garden with barbecue facilities. Boat trips are available at Brno Dam, 656 feet away. There is also the hotel's beach bar Hribek, open from April to September. The Kaskáda Golf Course, a Zoo, and the Přístaviště Bus Stop are all with 1.2 mi. Brno city center, the castles Špilberk and Veveří, and the Villa Tugendhat, which is famous for pioneering modern architecture in Europe, are all within a 15-minute drive. A shuttle service is available free of charge.

    Pros +

    • The rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces but it might be crowded with all people coming for wellness. Nice breakfast. Tesla destination charger is in garage, but you have to pay for it and also for the garage.
    • The staff and services were excellent.SPA center reception staff were professional and very nice. The breakfast was amazing and the best for me.
    • The spa was like a paradise. The location of the hotel was already surrounded by stunning nature. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. We also came with our dog, and he was very comfortable as well.

    Cons -

    • There are many semi hidden costs: You pay extra for wellness access, you pay extra for breakfast, you pay for garage, etc. The wellness area is big and awesome but it might be really crowded at times.
    • There is nothing bad to say all was Good.5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Spa overcrowded and price of the room not inclusive of spa access

It’s a nice hotel with a great SPA but, despite the high price of the room, I had to pay extra to get access to the Spa…on top the spa was extremely overcrowded

    Unique sauna world and spa

Its hourly based mainly, day-long deals only for those accomodated

The whole place is nice and has a good vibe. The people are very friendly. Restaurant food was good as well

It was loud during one of the nights as someone was playing pool around midnight.I called the receptionist, found out the phone doesn’t work and needed to get down to tell them that it’s disturbing our sleep. The noise isolation could be better in the room. The staff or guests walking around could be heard from inside of the room. We were here for the 4th time if not mistaken time and this happened only once - still this was one of the more expensive rooms.

    Very poor

Room very small, with two single hatches that were pushed together, the space between the mattresses was extremely uncomfortable, in the morning we woke up with a headache Because the room lacked fresh air. For this price a room the size of 17 m is a mockery, plus the service at the bar nightmarish. For such a room does not deserve even 100€.

We are returning customers, but this time we found it all extremely expensive. I found it misleading that the SPA hotel did not include the Spa and it was over 200 Euro extra to the room fee. All in all, the hotel is lovely and the SPA is excellent. The restaurant serves exquisite food. Highly recommendable

That the Spa was too expensive and not included in the Hotel price. No one would go to this hotel if not for the SPA

Spa, massage, baths, cocktails in the pool, the restaurant and the rooms. All great. Fantastic staff.

The transfer bus was a bit scaffy.

My husband, our 6-year-old child, and I traveled with our family to visit relatives across the Czech Republic. As we are not familiar with local accommodations, I selected a room for two adults and one child through Booking.com after discovering the Maximus Resort on Instagram. I did not review the images on Booking.com again before booking. I specified our child's age and was attracted to the listing because it prominently featured amenities, including a pool. I have attached a screenshot for reference. However, upon arrival, we discovered that children under 145 cm were not allowed in the wellness area. Additionally, the wellness staff informed us that access to the pool was not included in our booking and would incur an extra charge. I was confident that the pool was listed as part of the amenities when I booked, and I took a screenshot as proof. Interestingly, the pool icon was removed from the Booking.com listing the next day, which I found misleading and unprofessional.Upon reviewing the email correspondence from Booking.com, I noticed that in the fourth email from Maximus Resort, there was a note at the bottom mentioning that certain amenities required additional fees and that children under 145 cm were not allowed. However, this information was presented alongside offers for bike rentals and dining, which I mistakenly dismissed as promotional content. Our experience with the wellness center staff was highly disappointing. When we inquired about the situation, the staff laughed in our faces, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. At one point, a wellness employee even asked my husband if I was his girlfriend or wife, which was inappropriate and offensive. My husband promptly corrected her, noting that such remarks were out of line, especially when she had no basis for such assumptions. When we escalated the issue to the manager, she merely repeated the same information with a smile, which only added to our frustration.

Good:+ wi-fi+ wellness+ food in the restaurantBad::- extremely noisy room 109. Maybe wellness technologies, but very annoying- hotel staff not willing or trained to solve such an issue, either offer another room or discount.- mattraces and pillows not good. We were a group of 8 and none of us liked it- breakfast very basic. Nothing compared to similar hotels in Hungary for example- TV channels breaking up, poor signal or something- smartlike waiters laighing at me when l politely asked for some local czech food that was not on menu- overmotivated pool staff that ran across the indoor pool area while l was taking my shirt off just to tell that l must take the shirt off. Really?- Garden area very small with difficult access- prygl beaches not very inviting. At the end, none of us swam in Prygl. This may be out of direct control of the hotel. But lm sure if more hotels coordinated activities, they could make it better

Everything was wonderful. The spa and sauna world were fantastic. Loved the stone foot spa thing. Simply wonderful after having many long walking days prior to the stay. I got the aroma therapy massage and it was the absolute best massage i’ve had in a long time.Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was great! I loved having this little side Spa day as part of my Euro trip. I would come back here for sure

It was the second time my partner and I treated ourself to a stay at Maximus. The room was spacious and clean, the wellness was amazing and the breakfast was fantastic. We can't wait to come back!

    8StuartPosted on: 6-14-2024

The parking and value for money is second to none. WiFi was decent and very clean.

I always thing the use of the pool/sauna should be included in the room price even if it’s just added on. It’s still brilliant value, but having to pay extra never feels good. The bed in my room or should I say two single beds pushed together was extremely uncomfortable

    9Sailorjerry72Posted on: 6-5-2024

Everything was superb. We usually stay at top end hotels (yes, we are snobs:)) and this came by to end a day of driving on our way to Hungary. No expectations and last minute bookings that accept dogs as well, choice is limited. This was so good we will be back as a mini vacation in the coming months.

Breakfast, I like to order my eggs and pre-scrambled and fried egg is not my thing. The usual tasteless melon and stawberries fro the freezer. Not bad just not too good either.

    9GioraPosted on: 5-17-2024

Excellent Spa and sauna, very nice pools, great team at the spa site, very nice room, spacious and well organized, nice bathroom.

Breakfast mediocre, they didn;t made our room one day, and the other- they only organized the beds without cleaning or vacuuming

We arrived as a family, with a 2-year-old child at 11 am, at the reception they told us at 15, goodbye.. it’s a shame they didn’t ask, alternatives... the first time like this... we should leave, it’s terrible for such a hotel.. it’s a pity
