    Pros +

    • The location was perfect, right on the shore of Lake Balaton. One evening there was a BBQ and the beef brisket was absolutely outstanding – a truly memorable experience.
    • It looks nice and has large soaces in common areas and in the rooms (this is great for Hungary, usually small rooms). Great venue right next to the lake - one small steppingbramp into the lake but the hitel front is basically your beach which is nice.
    • Friendly staff, rooms, staff are very friendly and service orientated

    Cons -

    • We stayed to celebrate our two-year anniversary, which we mentioned in advance and politely asked for a complimentary room upgrade with a lake view. Three days later we received a short email declining the request. I thought at least there might be a small gesture in the room – a flower, a drink, some fruit, or simply a congratulation – but nothing at all was done. The service felt impersonal and mechanical. The hotel has hundreds of rooms, yet only a handful of sunbeds and perhaps five parasols, which is completely insufficient in summer. We had to constantly “hunt” for a free one, without success, ending up lying on the grass with our towels while others enjoyed the shade and comfort. As for the wellness: the outdoor pool is tiny (about 4×4 m), already crowded with 10 guests. The indoor pools were all much cooler than the 32–34 °C shown on the signs – definitely under 30 °C – so none were truly warm or relaxing.Overall, it felt only slightly better than a basic guesthouse, but far from the standard of a 4-star superior wellness hotel. Unfortunately, we won’t return.
    • Food was basic self service, usually cold and dry if you were in a later seating. Small food area for self service - you are all over each other when you get food. Would advise to get a meal at the pool bar which seems to be nicer. The spa is really unimagenative, 5 pools w the same water temp, just to sit around in. No big pool and minimal outside pool.
    • Dinner not jave enough variety in salads and main meals for vegetarians

Very clean and nice hotel. Facilities were great specially that you have full access to wellness & spa areas. Breakfast and dinner menus were diverse and tasty. Real 4stars hotel and services

During 3 days stay we didn't manage to find a free appointment for massage even if in the wellness area were just few persons. The person on the reception said that they are fully booked, but I didn't see anyone going in or coming out from massage area.

Excellent lakefront location, dog friendly with plenty of opportunities for walks or for bike trips

Location is great, rooms facing lake worth the extra price. Very clean, quiet rooms. Wellness section is spacious, with several pools and sauna area. Food service 3 times a day, including a varied selection of meals and seating area is elegant and welcoming.

Parking not included in price but the cost was very cheap.

    Good location by the lake

Very rude staff, especially the pool attendant called Leslie. He was lazy and unhelpful, the master of doing nothing that excelled in poor customer service.

Great location, amazing food (really good choice for all diet requirements, half board), great place for dogs. Good spa area, peace and quiet. Great for a quick getaway.

The stuff was really good, but one young lady had some lack of professional attitude (not enough customer-oriented) and could have better language skills. But all the other were really great, so it didn't ruin our experience there.

Stayed at Sirius for 2 nights in August 2024. Great location, although access to the main entrance is easier by car, but the beach entrance has a lovely foot path that goes all the way to the hotel from the port.Upon arrival our room wasn't ready but we were offered a welcome drink at the bar which was a nice glass of sparkling wine.Room was lovely and spacious, clean, with a nice balcony. The room can be accessed by a key watch and key card, which are easy to use.Breakfast was nice both days with a wide range of foods, some odd options too like vegetable stew which I was not very breakfasty. Dinners were nice as well, a couple of hit and miss options and some odd options like liver, which I've never seen at a hotel buffet. Nevertheless, both nights we were able to find tasty options, duck leg being the highlight for me.The spa, pool, sunbeds and saunas were top class. We paid extra for the Harmony island experience, around €100, the prosecco, fruits, relax bed and private jacuzzi was fantastic along with the private infra sauna. Our couples massages were a bit mixed but overall a very good experience worth the money. We rented paddle boards one evening which was a lovely activity in the bay for about €11 per person.Hope to be back soon

Food at times could have been a bit better.

Loved the spa area and the outside. Liked the wave bar and the sunrise bar. Liked the themed nights like bbq night. Spacious room with balcony. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Some of the staff even on the front desk seem to have a problem with speaking English which seemed strange for a hotel of this size.

The property is right at the lake and everything was clean and tidy. The food was great and the wellness area good. I liked that this is not a huge hotel like the one next to it. So it’s not that crowded and mass delivery of services.

I did not like that the entrance to the lake was rather small and the area where you can chill at the lake (but it’s still hotel property) was really small. There was room for around 10 people. Of course you could lay out directly at the hotel but when it’s lake front I would love to have possibility to be right at the lake.

•Clean, well-equipped rooms•Impeccable breakfast and dinner•Kind and helpful staff•Convenient location with easy access to Keszthely’s downtown and harbor

•No private beach, only a pier closed at 8 PM•Small wellness and spa area with pools not suitable for swimming

A great hotel in a beautiful location, excellent food and drinks

Reception staff need to be trained in customer service

    10JurriaanPosted on: 7-16-2024

Excellent hotel. All of the staff (from reception to housekeeping, restaurant, bar and wellness) was very kind and hard working, they did a phenomonal job. The hotel itself has been terrific. Great room (parking lot side), very comfortable, no noise, clean, good climate control. Food was on par as well, couldn't wish for anything else. The same goes for the wellness. To have private access to the balaton lake was an amazing bonus.

The exceptional food, the quiet, quality of services and the surrounding.

The balcony was a little dirty due to the birds that had a nest on it.
