Pros +
- The room was comfortable. The hotel is located close to the city center.
- We only stayed for one night, but felt truly welcomed. The staff were super friendly, spoke English, and were very patient with our attempts at Hungarian - even when we totally butchered a few phrases we’d picked up! :PWould definitely stay there again if we’re ever back in Szombathely.
- The hotel is quiet. but right off the main square. It is economical and has no real lobby but we liked the Roman themed decor. We had lunch there when we arrived and were pleased they served meals. Breakfast was good.
Cons -
- here was a strange smell in the room
- The only minor downside was that the room wasn’t fully soundproof, so it could get a bit noisy at times - but nothing too disruptive.
- No complaints.

No complaints.
Excellent location. Very clean. The shower included body wash and shampoo. The room had AC, the breakfast was nice, and check-in was fast.
Nothing, it was great!
Friendly staff, quick check-in, tidy and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, very well located close to the main square, pubs and restaurants nearby.
The reception at the hotel does not work after 10 p.m., they do not answer phone calls or e-mails.
After paying €80 for accommodation, we arrive at the location at 10:30 PM and realize that the hotel is locked. You can't get in, the reception doesn't work after 10:00 PM. We call them on the phone, they don't answer. We were forced to look for a completely new accommodation, tired from the trip. I still don't know if we will get our money back.Edit: Regarding the hotel's response below, I am attaching a picture of the phone call that no one answered at 10:30 PM (and the reservation was received an hour before that), as well as pictures of the lights in the hotel turned off, which clearly shows that there is no one in the facility.I still hope that I will get my money back (€80) for a service that we were unable to use.Edit 2: The hotel staff ignores emails, proof of a phone call that they did not answer, and they do not want to refund the money for a service that we were unable to use because no one was in the hotel.
It was very central and the staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasant.
The decor and facilities were a little dated.
Downtown location, easy access. Delicious food, polite service.
Only a few channels were available on TV (it was raining all the time, so we spent the mornings in the room). The last night we couldn't sleep at all, because there were sounds in the windstorm, as if the building wanted to collapse on us. The room was very dark with just one little window.
The place is right next door to the main square, where a lot of things happen when you come for the ‘Savaria Történelmi Karnevál’. The train station is reachable in like 20 minutes of walk. The room is modern, clean, and stylish. The bathroom is also brand new and clean. And the restaurant… Simple but fantastic dishes freshly prepared, from good quality ingredients. The breakfast is also high quality and delicious.?
Not much. In the room 111 the LED screen on the AC unit lights up the whole room for the night. Little bit annoying, but you can get used to it. The toilet is really near to the wall. I mean if you average sized, you’ll have no problem whatsoever. But if you’re tall like me (2m, in American units about 4 and 3/4 bald eagles) you’ll find a bit harder to use it. Otherwise absolutely no complaints, and these are tiny little things, not even problems.
BREAKFAST was very very good. Nothing was missing. And very good fruits, also bakery. All monuments were near.
Coffee for group.
The localization is great. Nearby the local square and main pedestrian street.
The hotel's stuff didn't speak English.
The breakfast was nice with lots of different options and good coffee.
Small room. Had to ask for bed linen for person number two as the bed was only prepared for one person.
The location, the staff, the breakfast was superb
The matrasses was a bit soft for me, but its a personal view.
Comfy and warm, very pleasant staff, nice breakfast and good offer for lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Location is the best - the hotel is on the main square, just a few steps away. Clean and nice.
A little bit noisy in the evening, guests were loud and it can all be heard while they are coming back to their rooms.
Friendly sfaff, good breakfast (fruits included)
The rooms were not like in the pictures. The floor needs to be changed
Breakfast was good with lots of choices.
The room was extremely small. The airco was used for heating: it was noisy, could not set the temperature (constant 26 degrees), therefore by the middle of the night, the heat and the hot air was suffocating. We had to completely turn it off.
Very poor
The hotel charged me twice. I had paid with Booking and the hotel deducted the same amount from my credit card. The hotel told me, the amount was only reserved on the Visa card from booking. But that was not the case. So I had to pay twice. Also get no help from Booking!
Location is superb. Just a few steps away from the main square.
The water heating stopped while I was in mid-shower. No lift, and no intercom so you need to go down to talk to reception.
Hotel is in the city center just a few steps from the main square. Room was clean. Classic breakfast. Dinner at hotel restaurant was delicious. Parking was available, but I think it depends a lot on how busy the hotel is.
Super helpful and kind staff. Location is perfect. And what’s more the delicious breakfast provides fuel for discovering surroundings. Ask for double espresso:)
