Hotel Villa Margherita

Beautiful hotel right on the boardwalk with easy walk to restaurants. Parking onsite. Great staff.

Location was good, if you have a car it's not far from some nice beaches - spiaggia moresca, spiaggia di cala sabina. But it's a bit misleading that the hotel claims that it is beachfront, because it is very close to a beach, but the beach is very small next to the harbour, so the beach is not nice and not very clean.We had a nice spacious room, it was clean, with jacuzzi on the terrace and a nice view in the garden. Garden is very nice, also the restaurant is nice and you can watch sunset from there in the evening. Staff is very kind.

What we were very disappointed about was the food. Both breakfast and dinner were not good. Breakfast buffet was worse than in a 3-star hotel, quite a poor selection of everything. It was really ridiculous that there was a machine to make fresh juice, however you had to first peel the fruit and do it yourself. Don't understand why they at least don't prepare the fruit - peel and cut, to make it easier. However I think in a 4-star hotel the fresh juice should be prepared by the staff. Dinner was very bad. I don't understand the good reviews based on which I'd selected this hotel (maybe a different chef?). The a-la-carte menu looked nice on a paper, however the portions were ridiculously small and mainly the food was completely tasteless. No flavours at all. Even the bread served on the tables was bad.I'm glad we stayed only two nights there, so we had time to explore the area a bit, but wouldn't go back to the hotel as it is not worth the money. Now we are staying more south also in a 4-star hotel, which is cheaper, but it's much better. The food is amazing and selection for breakfast is great (this is just to point out that now i can compare two different 4-star beachfront and well-rated hotels in Sardinia).Also what I didn't like was the pool. Can't say it was dirty, because the water was clear and the hotel was overall clean, but the water line was disgusting (brown). I understand the pool is probably very old, but if it cannot be cleaned properly then it should be renewed, because such a dirty water line gives a very bad impression.Another misleading thing is that in the description of facilities they say they rent bikes, water sports on site (kayak, windsurf)... That's not true. If you want to rent a bike, they call a bike rental to arrange it for you. Kayaks and windsurfer gears are not there either. On that beach close to the hotel you can't do anything.

Staff went above and beyond. Daniella and Gabriella were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made our stay extra welcoming. The hotel was in a perfect location. Free parking could be extended to make this an even better stay.

A superb hotel. It’s in a great location, and our room with terrace had a lovely view; I can’t be sure but I think most rooms had a view over the gulf even if they didn’t have a balcony. Our room was extremely clean, and the air conditioning very effective. The pool was very clean and pleasant. A very neat garden was good to relax in. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and very efficient. The breakfast was excellent. Our two evening meals in the hotel were very high quality. A final bonus: we were offered the use of the pool after checkout, and there is a bathroom for use after checkout which was great as we did have a very late flight home. A top quality hotel in every respect.

Rooms with a view of the sea. Staff were all friendly. Swimming pool was great size and sun beds super comfy. The hotel was lovely and clean.Gardens were beautiful and well maintained.All in all a great little find.

The garden was beautiful and tranquil as was the pool. I like that they grow some of the herbs they use in the kitchen. The rooms are spacious and include wash cloths which are rare in Europe.

The hot tub could be warmer, but it was still enjoyable.

What an amazing hotel from top to bottom. The service was excellent all round. Let’s start from the bottom the gym and steam room was superb and well maintained. We stayed half board, breakfast is buffet one quality is marvellous. Let me say this the evening meal is to an easily Michelin standard. Personally I give it a 11 out of 10. The Room utterly spotless. Pool area utterly spotless. The gardens very well maintained and kept by the ground staff, mini oasis. Bar has a fine selection. Just a beautiful experience. Will return!!!

Absolutely nothing!!

It is the most efficient and delicious hotel I have been in ! I can't recommend enough the restaurant, it is like being in a Michelin restaurant every evening. The chef is really fantastic and we are both foodie and massively picky. The staff was kind, spoke fluently 3 languages and went above and beyond in terms of help, and could do anything faster to help us out. Definitely a come back place.

I cannot remember staying at a hotel with more attentive and helpful staff. Our room was very spacious, well appointed, tastefully decorated and clean. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner twice were very pleased with the experience and our meals. We felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The beds were a little on the hard side, but we still slept well overall.

The property was great in every way for our 3 night stop in Golfo Aranci.The breakfast was a nice way to start the morning In a very comfortable setting outside by the pool.The Turkish bath and massage that was scheduled on request were a great way to relax and distress before heading back home. There were some cute shops and restaurants that offered quality local cuisine in the area and best of all, the staff was super professional, warm and accommodating.We would highly recommend Villa Margherita for anyone visiting Golfo Aranci!

The staff colleagues were all together in making the guest experience wonderful. The owner and the cook were both ladies and delightful. Breakfast was killer good. What’s not to like about great coffee, eggs fried in butter and olive oil with stracciatelli fresh cheese on a fresh baked croissant. The fruit selections great. They only have four rooms but feels like a top shelf hotel with kindness and generosity. The rooftop bar was also excellent for dinner with a reservation. Beautiful place all the way around. Highly recommend.

The Reception desk wasn’t always manned and there was no bell/buzzer to get someone’s attention. The pool facilities were a bit hit and miss - sometimes the toilet was open, sometimes it wasn’t. The breakfast was the same every day and the food area was cramped
