Design Hotel & Restaurant Löwen

The breakfast was excellent, and the dinner was gourmet, prepared by a Michelin-starred Chef! Actually, that was the reason we booked Design Hotel & Restaurant Löwen —it's a small but very nice place!!! The location is in a beautiful, cozy village/small town of Ulm. There are nice cafes and wine bars around. Löwen will be our choice on the way back from Italy to Finland next Spring. We can highly recommend this place!

Breakfast was really good and fresh.

The room on arrival was really cold, and I had to turn on the radiator myself; it took some hours to reach the appropriate temperature.

The ceiling of the roomis quite low. I’m 1.78m and it was okay, but if you are taller it might be a issue. I also didn’t have hot water in my room. Not ideal. The staff was also not aware of the virtual key.

Room is so beautiful and 4 min walking from near station. 15 min from station to center by tram. Quite hotel, beautiful area. There is very very big supermarket around 15 min walking or less from hotel

I love to walk and there was mot too much to walk there however, area is very beautiful.

Charming setting in a clean and safe area. Easier car access to head towards Stuttgart.

Was a bit far from the city centre sights.

Size of the room was good

Both keys were not working. Reception knew this, yet we couldnt enter the room in the evening and hotel was not reachable. Called 10 times and waited for an hour.Second, we booked and checkedin for 4 people. Things were only arranged for 2. No sheets, pillows, towels, cups, towels.

A great location, clean, quiet. The city center of Ulm is easy to reach by public transportation. A large room with comfortable beds, nice and clean. A nice shower. A coffee maker is available in the room.

The restaurant was closed due to renovations so we did not get a chance to try breakfast.

Nice location outside the centre of Ulm. Clean room, bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows, safe and easy to park area. Recently renovated room. Clear check in instructions.

Too many emails (more than 10) regarding the booking, check in and check out. Some inconsistency regarding the room (suite). In fact there is no possibility to dine in the restaurant which is closed, just as the breakfast and reception area. The price they charge for the pet was made known only when we had to check out (18 euro per night).

The hotel is right in the old centre of Söfling and yet really peaceful and quiet.The staff was efficient yet friendly, particularly the breakfast lady.

Like most hotels, I thought the breakfast a little pricey.

We like the modern outfit of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing as well as the dinner. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice location, with a lot of restaurants near by.

Lack of parking, no cool air condition. Really hot in the room.Need to have a car to get to city centre.

An easy location and well connected to the centre. lovely restaurants and bakery around the area and a great kids playground nearby. Lovely renovated and great vibe.

Quiet location within easy reach of the city centre, by tram. Tram stop is close by and an all day ticket is good value.

Service while having dinner. And the check-in went very smoothly

Parking available in front of the hotel and on a nearby square. Nice and fully renovated building, nice rooms, excellent price for quality. Coffee available in the room as well as water, no minibar (but that is totally ok!). Excellent quality of the toiletries and towels. Very comfortable bed. No air conditioning but thick walls will keep the warm weather outside. Tram line #1 at a walking distance for a convenient transfer to the city centre of Ulm.

Breakfast for 15€ could be improved. Reception closes at 18:00, with possibility to arrange a meeting time if arriving late. After check-in, I suggest you bring with you your keys otherwise you will not find anyone after 22:00.

Friendly helpful staff and a nice room which served our purposes perfectly. (Junior suite 2 kids /2 adults) . Not a negative for us but if you are a bit shy the bathroom has a glass front so you can see whoever is taking a shower ect but only if you go to that end of the room where the bathroom is. We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant but wish we had as it looked very high quality food. Breakfast was nice but no cooked options unless you count a hard boiled egg as cooked. All meats /pastries / cereals were fresh and only paid 15Euro per head extra for adults and 7.50 for the 9 year old so priced about right. Nice beer garden 50 meters from hotel which also served nice looking food and a quiet location. All in all an above average experience and would definitely stay there again if visiting Legoland ( 25 minutes away by car) . Small tip don’t venture in to town to eat at Kobes Burger place , we did , mistake!

The rooms are sparkling clean, modern and comfortable. the beds are soft. we didn't try the breakfast so we don't know about that.

there really isn't anything we didn't like about the hotel, except the curtains. the curtains (in our room) don't really make the room dark but the outside area is not that lit up at night.
