Hotel Goldenes Rad

Excellent location, just a few steps from the Munster, and the Christmas Market in the square. The room was spacious and clean. There was no outside noise. I would stay there again, especially at Christmas market time.

It was a little challenging to drop off our luggage and park the rental car, but that is to be expected in historic areas.

The staff are very nice, very good location near to the church, easy to park. High quality breakfast and room facilities.

I would have appreciated some "privacy curtains" for the room - there were curtains, but only obscuring ones for the night. The room was facing the street and opposite offices, and I felt a bit like a fish in an aquarium.The shower could use some new silicone, and I would have loved a bigger duvet for the 2 person bed.

I was travelling with my dog and she was on a special diet so I had to travel with wet dog food. When I discovered there was not a refrigerator in the room I went downstairs to ask for ice and instead was provided a tiny little refrigerator just perfect for my needs!

The room was fine, but warm and no AC. You could open the windows, however the street outside was too noisy, so not possible to have it open during the night.The breakfast was good. A big plus for the possibility to choose what type of eggs you wanted and you got them freshly made!The public parking was good and close.

In the bathroom you have one small shower head and one big. The small one is “fixed” in a lower position so you need to have it in your hand or use the bigger higher one if you want to wash your hair. The door to the bathroom is made of frosted glass and the handle made loud squeaking noice when you opened and closed it. For me (not for my husband) the bed was too hard. It made it difficult for me to sleep properly.

Rooms were modern and clean, and breakfast was good.

I had to handle all my luggage myself, both on arrival and departure, despite asking for help. The staff gave me a trolley but offered no real assistance—not even to load or unload the bags. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Service for luggage was far below the standard expected.

Location was central, even though they do not have parking facilities, there was a parking facility nearby with reasonable rate (€26 for 2.5 days). Staff speaks excellent English and very friendly. I love that they have sauna facility which is much appreciated during such a cold weather. Breakfast was sumptuous spread, they offer freshly cooked scrambled eggs which we took on both mornings. Bathroom is spacious and clean. I was given a corner room as I asked for a quiet spot. I had great night sleep and the firm mattress helped as well. There is a huge farmers market on Saturday just a stone’s throw away from the hotel. I will definitely come back again next year.

Really big modern room with A/C, comfortable firm bed, big bathroom with lots of space to spread out and a terrific shower. Friendly staff. Convenient parking. There was a Spa but we arrived too late to try it.

The spa closed very early.

- staff are particularly friendly, always trying to help- breakfast is clearly above average, with a a large and diverse selection, with eggs at you liking upon request- great central location- all equipments modern and confortable

- WIFI does not work well, impossible to work- rooms on the main road are extremely noisy when the windows are not closed- no A/C, room was hot- no minibar in the room, and bar of the hotel closed after 22h- far too much light coming from the glass window of the bathroom, was awake at 5h00
