Rooms on front of Hotel a little noisy.

Perfect location in city center

The pillow is 1cm thick we woke up with our neck sore. Bring your own pillow if you stay here

Restaurant was great. Room was nice and clean. Pool was small but nice.

Old fashion place, hot room and no AC allowed unless it's 25 C outside, so very hot in the room, and noisy from the bikers revving on the city square, but impossible to close the windows.Tiny pool good to relax

A little difficult to navigate at first as we parked in site and got lost at first!

Location is great, close to center and restaurants. Nice design and decoration, the breakfast was amazing.

Almost zero sound isolation, we couldn’t sleep until 1 AM due to people walking and talking on the corridor and noise from other rooms. The heating system was very noisy as well. We wanted to eat an early dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, but it was fully booked by external guests… they should reserve some table for hotel guests at least, it’s very unusual that as a hotel guest you should book a table in advance…

A surprisingly good find! Clean modern rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and great spa.

We love Hotel-Gasthof Höttl in Deggendorf.In my opinion, this is by fare the best Hotel in Deggendorf and surrounding area.Nice rooms, great breakfast, delicious lunch or dinner, and a beautiful Sky pool with Spa.You are right in town and shops and restaurants are in walking distance.The perfect starting place for a day trip to the Bavarian Forest, or visiting the glass manufactories along the glass street (Glasstrasse)

Because the Hotel is laid out over serveral buildings, you can get lost during your first visit. This is not a real complain, just be aware of the situation when bringing your luggage to the room. :-)Parking space is limited, and you maybe have to park in the underground puplic parking garage in front of the hotel.

The heated roof pool is a nice amenity. The restaurant is perfect, if you are looking for a Bavarian dinner and Augustiner beer. Breakfast is also a nice surprise.

Clean with a great location. Best restaurant in town! The roof top pool is perfect summer or winter.

No air conditioning in the summer. Rooms can get stuffy.

We loved the little village and being on the main street. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We loved spending some time in the rooftop pool. It was a highlight of the stay. The room was a nice size and very comfortable with a clean AC that worked! We were thrilled to have that benefit since it was very warm for this time of the year.

Gasthof Höttl is a great stay for cyclists - it has a large secure bike shed in the rear beer garden - and they have a rooftop pool with spa jets to soothe aching muscles. The hotel is excellently located - right on the cobbled altstadt market square. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and wore traditional dress. The bed was comfy, the room very modern, and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent with wide choices and eggs made to order - we had omlettes. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant, but book early - it's very popular.

A beautiful hotel with real charm. I had a quiet room at the back, enjoyed a refreshing swim in the open-air, heated pool and a delicious breakfast. The hotel is on Deggendorf's main square, which is one of the most delightful in Germany. Public car parking is below the square, at €2.00 at weekends.

First and foremost, the location is absolutely stunning (the main square of Deggendorf) and at the same time very conveniently located with the Autobahn just a couple minutes away and lots of eating and shopping options. Before arriving, we were slightly concerned that the noise from the street will disturb our kids' sleep - however, the excellent sound isolation and the A/C have fully solved this problem.The breakfast was great (with an asterisk, see below) with a great selection of foods and a new type of sausages every morning.Very friendly staff (all of them) who helped us on multiple occasions.

A couple of things made our stay less pleasant than it could be:1) It is totally fine that the electricity in the room goes off when you leave the room (i.e., when you remove your key card from the slot) - most hotels do this. However, the fridge socket is typically wired to a separate network so that is remains always on. Not in this hotel! The card goes off = the fridge goes off. In practice, it contradicts the very purpose of the fridge, which is, to keep your food from spoiling all the time, even when you're not in the room. We were traveling with small kids and have booked a room with a fridge on purpose - alas, we had to look for other creative solutions.2) While the breakfast was generally great, we have found mold on the bread. Also, some products were served after their expiration date.

This was an outstanding hotel in a great location in the old town. The facilities were good, the room comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the food very good. Given the superb quality, this hotel was good value for money. We didn't use the pool or fitness centre so are unable to comment.

My home away from home. Perfect location in center of town, very friendly and accommodating staff, ultra clean and comfortable, restaurant, beer garden and facilities top notch.
